Katie Couric Jokes: "Dan, Dee-Dee, Sounds Like The Start Of A Neil Sedaka Song" (VIDEO)

Katie Couric added a bit of levity to the serious coverage Tuesday night, joking with CBS analysts Dee Dee Myers and Dan Bartlett during the "CBS Evening News."

Heading to a break, Couric said, "Alright, well, Dan, Dee Dee, sounds sort of like the start of a Neil Sedaka song, doesn't it?"

It's funny how once the media crowned her the "worst anchor. ever.", Katie sucked it up, relaxed and started acting like her old self again. Her newscasts are informative, her interviews are fantastic, and she's having a good time.

I don't know why this was posted, but I do feel that Ms. Couric's excellent interview with Palin was an important turning point in the election as it started the process of exposing Palin for who she really is.

I have been so terribly disappointed with Tom Brokaw on Meet The Press that I hope Katie Couric is given the seat. She has proven herself to be worthy now that she's back at the news desk. She delivers without shouting at us. She injects humor without fluff. She gives the news the quality that Tim Russert did--a reality check instead of superficiality, a respect for the people she serves. KC for MTP!

That interview was priceless! I was never a Katie Couric fan but if I were in her shoes during that interview, I don't know that I could have maintained the same level of self restraint that she excercised with sarah palin. I don't think I want Katie Couric in Tim Russert's seat. she is too silly as evidenced by this video.
