we'll never get to find out out if that is really her baby or not. we'll have to wait until Bristol gets married and shows up and takes her baby back and leaves Sarah with nothing to do except start a catering business for fulfillment. see next year's episode of Desolate Housewives

I can leave the next generation in peace. There is hope; truly, there is hope.

Thanks to every one here. You folks have kept me sane. I hope to keep learning from you in the days ahead. WE DID IT! As an Ohioian and an AA woman, this has been one rocking night. I'm so proud and it is such a delight to see the diverse faces of my nation, especially the young people. Good night.

Another beautiful speech!! I just wish that his granny could have heard it. But I'm sure that she and his mom are looking on and celebrating. I am truly overwhelmed!!! And optimistic once again...

Congratulations President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden!!!

CAN I HEAR IT FOR CHAIRMAN DEAN????

HUH???

Matthews joking comment calling Dean the John the Baptist for Obama was spot on. Dean's online organization and 50 state strategy got it going.

Dean's CAMPAIGN for president is what got it going!

Dean's GRASSROOTS fundraising--Internet activism, the whole thing was DEAN.

WE OWE CHAIRMAN DEAN BIG TIME.

HE SAID WE COULD TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK AND WE HAVE.

What an awesome God we serve!!! I am amazed! This is such an extraordinary moment in U.S. history that we have been privileged to witness. Talk about healing old wounds...

John McCain gave such a gracious concession speech. I think that if he and SP had takten the high road and shown the voters their better side, there might have been a different result. I could have actually voted for McCain in 2000. And this McCain tonight was the McCain that I remembered.

Some things were just meant to be and Obama/Biden '08 was just that.

They have a lot of work to do and I'm sure that John McCain will be a reliable partner in that.

I am so happy I will never be able to sleep tonight. But would someone please explain Rev Jesse Jackson crying so much? Remember he wanted to cut his n.u.t.s. off. What's up with that? When President Obama speaks, I will be crying so hard with joy!!

he's weeping. I well imagine Americans quietly wept like that when they cleared the beaches at Normandy and put one foot inside impregnable Fortress Europe. Have you ever been lost in the dark in the wilderness with the fuel gauge on E and then you see a gas station and the sign says 'OPEN'?

Inspite of the "words" he spoke about Obama - which to me was just a macho thing - just THINK about what that man has been through. His identity is not just limited to being a public figure. He is a black man who has lived in America. He has been a witness to history. From his youth he has been fighting - like so many. Like him, as a black woman, my tears are those of my ancestors. Please understand.
