All these saccharine comments! Reminds me of all the empty rhetoric during Obama's campaign (not to mention all the lies - accepting public campaign financing for one!) Mrs. Obama is obviously doing her own thing, but her dress is hideous.

And you appear to be an ugly loser! Jealous much? Come into the light iusedtocare and, well, maybe, just maybe you'll learn to Care again!

Loser? I didn't vote for McCain, either. I always thought Obama was an opportunist, ever since his keynote address. Jealous? Hardly. Simply expressing an opinion on Mrs. Obama's dress, which I believe is still allowed in this country. BTW, most online polls show that the vast majority of people did not like her outfit. As for your "invitation," I don't care to "come into the light," of hypocrisy and sham emotion.

My favorite part of the celebration was when Joe Biden brought his mom to the front of the stage and you could see the moment take her breath away. Soooo cute! :)

Jill Biden always looks like she's having fun and is just thrilled to be where she is right now. She and Michelle Obama seem to have a good relationship, as do their husbands. What a great moment when their entire families were together at the end of the evening! The mix of white and black, old and young...symbolizing our futures. The three Presidents from Illinois...Lincoln and Grant, fighting to free the slaves, and now President Elect Obama, our first black President. How fitting!!

Wow--Michelle Obama really looks exactly like her mother, doesn't she? I mean that in a good way.

LOVE THESE PHOTOS! I just keep tearing up. Seeing Jesse Jackson's face with tears of joy on the tv last night just absolutely made my night. I am so thrilled, so happy! And my home state of Ohio turned BLUE last night! It's so wonderful.

One unexpected surprise about the Obama run was Joe Biden and his family. I LOVE Joey Biden!!! What a sweetheart!!! He seems like an everyday "Joe" so to speak and a passionate and intelligent man. I even love his wife. I love that Obama and Biden were on the same ticket.

So many moments, so many smiles. . . and I cried as Barack Obama moved forward to Sen. Biden's mother, and graciously and gently escorted her into the spotlight. This is a man of the ages, all ages, a man for all of us. Already the demands, the expectations on this man are mounting - so now we must do whatever it takes to help him - why? Because this is more than a slogan, more than motto - it is hope fully expressed because YES WE CAN

I'm still playing Parliament Funkadelics' "One Nation Under a Groove" because before then I had been wearing out Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come." I love Sam but George brings me great joy. WE all can sing and dance to the best unifying music as one nation!

My mom is 94, grand daughter of slaves, and "feeling blessed to be here to see history."

Back to my music.... "one nation we're on the move, no one can stop us now!"

Last evening when Obama was declared our new president, the phone rang and I learned my sixth grandchild , a boy , had just been born in California. I cannot express the depth of joy and peace I felt...a new soul in the world who will have Barack as a model as a man, husband and father and President! How could this child go wrong with such a transcendent leader in his life as well as his own wonderful father and mother?
Do your thing, Barack...and as a grateful grandmother, I will cover your back!
