Harry Reid told CNN Friday that he is unhappy with Joe Lieberman's passionate support of John McCain for president.

"Joe Lieberman has done something that I think was improper, wrong, and I'd like if we weren't on television, I'd use a stronger word of describing what he did," Reid told CNN's John King. "But Joe Lieberman votes with me a lot more than a lot of my senators. He didn't support us on military stuff and he didn't support us on Iraq stuff. You look at his record, it's pretty good."

Reid, the AP has reported, "is considering yanking Lieberman's chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee as punishment."

Meanwhile the AP also reported today that GOP Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has reached out to Lieberman about joining the Republican party.

I fought hard as did others to bring integrity back to our government. If Lieberman keeps his Democratic appointed Senate chairs I am through supporting "Obama for change." Lieberman keeping his chairs only shows it's business as usual on the hill and that "Change" was just a campaign slogan.

Joe Lieberman said at one of the republican rallies::: I know what yer thinking. What is a Democrat like me doing at a rally like this?

Stephen Colbert's response::: Oh, ohohohoh. I know. Spitting in the face of everyone who ever voted for you?

Lieberman already left, like a cheating spouse. Don't let him come back, he'll just hurt the party again. Best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

The bum has the gall to be prostituting his services to the Repubs as leverage against losing his chairmanship. Kick him out! He was disloyal to the party and Reid must therefore exact a price.

Traitor Joe is a Democrat when he needs the votes, an Independent when it suits him and a Republican under the skin. There is a difference between "reaching across the aisle" and working counter to your own party.

Harry, either boot Lieberman or hand the reins to someone who will.

Come on Harry . . . grow a pair and do what needs be done . . . strip that snake Lieberman of every position of power he got as a Democrat. You didn't/don't have the backbone to go after Bush and his cronies . . . at least do the right thing and strip Lieberman!!

You are in definite danger of losing my vote here in Nevada when you come up for re-election!!

I hope the aging Reid still has the testosterone level to do what should be done - send him to the Republican Caucus where Lieberman should feel more comfortable. I sure wouldn't rely on his vote in the Democratic Caucus.

Then, if MSNBC would release Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough to Fox News where they would feel more comfortable, everyone would benefit...

Reid has been too weak, like most DLC type Democrats, in opposing the evils that have been plaguing us.
To call Joe Liebereman a Liberal is farsical. The only liberality in him is his liberal support for more liberality in giving to Israel. Lieberman is a Neocon through and through. He was Enron's man in the Senate. He is for big business against the people. When phony Democrats like him are purged, we'll have a cleaner, stronger party for all the people.

Let the people that elected him take care of him. Vote him out. I do believe that no more than what he got done on the committee he should be relieved of that committee.
