Joy, bright spark of divinity,
All men become brothers,

When you first started looking at these pics you would swear they were losing. Grim faces slowwwlly turned into smiling faces. Intense emotions indeed.

To me it looks like Obama was feeling the weight of how important this election really was to people throughout the world.

Viewing these photos brought tears to my eyes. I am so proud of my country.

I am proud of the campaign Obama and Biden waged. They absorbed a lot of crap but never stooped low in response. I am proud of the campaign staff-- their organization, focus and tireless determination. Of all the volunteers all over the country and all the people who donated money even when it was tough to do so. And especially of all the voters who stood in line for hours, because they believed that their rights should not be challenged or stolen from them again.

We took our country back. I am awed and grateful, and I love this country more than words can express.

America we have much work ahead of us now, this is just the beginning. I hope we will all continue to stay focus and involved.

I know I should NOT be judgmental, and allow people their own individualism, but Senator Obama's niece could have chosen a better outfit than that blue and black thing she chose for such a historic moment in time. I know we all look back years and say WTH was I thinking with the hairstyle, outfit, make-up, etc, but she will have questions upon questions to answer to her children; that was a lousy outfit for such an important occasion.

I think they all look very pretty, I thought the niece's outfit looked young and cute.

Those Obama girls are going to be stunning young women, and can you imagine what an experience this will be? Just think, Malia may live in the White House until she's 18.
