Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

OK lets compare pies and percentages! 91 percent republicans want palin. how do you realistically compare a 59 cent walmart single serving pie to a perkins holiday pie?? figuring the walmart pie is republican and the perkins holiday is the democratics! they can play their percentage game all they want to bloat that huge ego if this stupid person. right winged bible toters really need a reality check.

Here is the problem with the Republican brand:
1) They are not inclusive, if you looked at the Rep. Convention all you saw was a sea of white men in cowboy hats. That is indicative of what the overall perception of the party is. Yes! they have a few Black faces, Brown faces and a few other people of color, but they are part in parcel used as token props. There are a few people of color within the Republican party, but these few have to cater to the extreme Right and to some degree so much so that they wind up not identifying with their true culture. Take Colin Powell and to some degree Condi Rice(I only include her because of her recent statements where she actually stated what Barack's appointment meant to her and Black people specifically). Colin Powell though he claim to be a Republican does not forget about his culture, does not look at lifting up the unfortunate as a hand out, believes in Affirmative Action and didnt forget why it was birthed into the political agenda. He's more a Republican I would guess based on basic policy differences- not some extreme Ideology. More to come later- Godspeed

The Republican brand just gets worse and worse. These people don't get it. Having said that, I'm all for Palin 2012. It will secure the way for four more years of President Obama. :-)

I have known for some time that the republicans for the most part, the part that stayed with the party after this years run,, are a stupid lot.

Palin proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Her lack of intellect cannot be corrected she is dumb and will remain so, or should I say ALSO.

If you think I am wrong about this all you have to do is take a look at the leading reps, they are all intellectually challenged, the smart ones, life long republicans are leaving in droves.

64% want Palin?

This just shows that the GOP has dumbed down their party so greatly that their voters will continue to support the most unqualified candidate in history.

This has boggled my mind. If she was a drag on the ticket, how could 64 percent want her. How could those conservatives I know, who say she doesn.t know anything about their agenda change their minds. Maybe its because she needs to be on her own? No,....its those people left in the party. All true, intelligent, conservatives(who have power in the party) have abandoned it. We are talking about the Rush Limbaugh crowd here, the angr- right. That I would believe.

Seriously? I'm losing faith in these kinds of people who honestly think Sarah Palin would be the best pick to be the leader of the free world. I just can't imagine it.

I don't live in America so I wouldn't know: aside from age, is there any other restriction for voting? Can mentally unstable people vote? Can low-functioning autistic citizens vote? Can semi-brain dead people vote? I just can't imagine a well-informed semi-intelligent human being voting for this dud.

I would take the poll as indicating that 64% of republicans have an IQ less than 100.

They forgot to discuss how small the pool of self-identified republicans has recently become. Isn't it around 30% of voters? So she has a 90% favorable rating among 30% of voters.

That equals an epic fail in 2012...but by all means, go for it, win the primary with flying colors, then fall on your face in the election.

Bobby Jindal's Name is being spoken by many to Be either President or VP and Palin.
Many want a Palin/Jindal Ticket

If Jindal has any brains, and I think he does, he wouldn't get within 1,000 feet of a Palin/Jindal luncheon, even. Some contingent of mouth-breathing voters may like her, but other politicians pretty much got the memo that she's out for herself and they should avoid her like the plague or throw her under the bus before she gets a chance to do it to them.
