The Obamas Talk White House Plans And Pet Peeves (VIDEO)

When the Obamas talked to "Access Hollywood" on July 4th, 10-year-old Malia revealed what most excited her about the possibility of a White House move: "I think my most excitement about it is that I get to redecorate my room," she shares. "I enjoy decorating, so I get to get this whole new room and do whatever I want." They also discussed the promised puppy, sibling rivalry, and each other's flaws. (Malia: "I tell long stories"; Sasha to her dad: "You always put your bag on my shoes.") When Michelle and the girls ask Barack what they do wrong, he pauses then diplomatically replies, "They're all perfect."

Keep them in your prayers. This guy has offered himself up to the highest office in the land because he thinks that he can help average Americans. What McCain/Palin and Fox & Limbaugh have done and said is to put Obama in danger. Obama deserves better and so do we. Pray for his safety.

I had given up on religion and in mankind ( no thanks in part due to Bush) .. BUT because of this beautiful family, I've started to believe again and pray for this family. And when Obama is in the White House, I may also start having trust in our government again.

It truly is a new day. A new beginning. A sigh of relief and a breath of fresh air.

Watchint the last day of the DNC made me remember how much I love this country...and made me realize that bush and his dysfunctional fascist regime made me forget that for the last 7 years.

And watching us elect O, made me rememeber how proud I can be of our country!

You know, these kids are really well adjusted. They are unafraid of talking to adults, and they are very relaxed in social situations. This really points to the great parenting they're getting. These young ladies have strong self-esteems...and I loved the age-appropriate clothing! They obviously are well loved and respected by their parents.

Earlier in I think this same interview I loved the part in which Malia was blithely talking about reading People magazine and finding her monther's picture there. I immediately flashed back to Sarah Palin being buffaloed by Katie Couric's question about what reading she does.

What is amazing to me, is when BO was asked about his wife and kids pet peeve, he just said that they are perfect. Now, it's a good man!! Michelle is one lucky woman, let me tell you!

Malia is a highly articulate child, but that is probably to be expected. They are both very sweet, and I like the fact that they are dressed in age-appropriate ways. It is also very wonderful to see the obvious love they have for their Dad. How nice it is to see a nice, loving family.
