The Guardian:

When George Bush and Barack Obama meet at the White House today for what has been called the "psychological transfer" between them, the moment has potential for considerable awkwardness. Obama has, after all, just appealed to the American people to reject the "eight years of failed policies" of his host.

But as the pair seek to conduct themselves with grace and dignity, they can comfort themselves in the knowledge that the meeting is likely to be much more successful than that experienced by some of their predecessors.

Excusing Bush's actions as simply "wrong decisions" is invalid when you consider he graduated from Yale University!

These were calculated decisions that were done to enhance the ability of the Oil, Military, and Financial Corporations and Individuals to take away America's WEALTH.

1. Oil Companies made Historic Profits.
2. Military Companies made Historic Profits
3. Investment Banks made Historic Profits

It was so corrupt their greed destroyed themselves and there are NO Investment Banks anymore.

Oil will continue to drop!

Soon military companies will lose their Lucrative Sole Source Contracts.

Should the Bush Administration go unpunished?

Bush has got to be used to it by now. Nobody can stand him or his policies.

Why would this meeting be awkward?
Bush would like to leave the White House YESTERDAY.
He never wanted to, or thought he would have to, work as hard as he has. Dick Cheney was supposed to do all of the heavy lifting.

The meeting between President Bush and President-Elect Obama need not be awkward at all. This is simply more media hype.

For all his wrong decisions, that EVERYONE is aware of by now, Bush gave a gracious (and I think heartfelt) invitation and pledge to facilitate a smoothe transition of power. We might have gotten into the habit of being derisive in our criticism, but that very act is an amazement to countries / governments / people around the world. The fact that we can have vastly different ideologies, engage in (to borrow a word) "tough" campaigns, and still effect the smoothe transitioning of democracy is one of the principle reasons that America is so coveted and admired.

Obama has shown himself to be gracious, capable, and desirous of wanting our country to unite and heal. So HE won't be the one bringing any "drama."

Both will take advantage of this opportunity to show Democracy -- and true Christianity -- in action.

Laura Bush is OK, and she has probably been through more than anyone knows.

I hope that bush looks into Obama's eyes and sees the words, "you're going to prison" embedded deep within.

...and take your soap boy cheney with you.

It will be awkward since it is an ethical "hands-on" lawyer meeting a corrupt "hands-off" politician!

Obama's polish will make this a pleasant meeting.

If it was the average Retired American meeting Bush, I am afraid that would be a matter for the secret service!

Say whatever you want about the current dunce in the White House, but lay off Laura Bush! She has been a great First lady with dignity and grace to boot.

Great!

Bushie can show the new president where he keeps the 100 Pack box of crayons and the Play-Doh!

Laura can point out to Michelle where she stashes all the anti-depressants and vodka - and where to take a smoke break so the press cant see.

It should be an entertaining day!
