Chicago Breaking News:

At Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side, where President-elect Barack Obama embraced Christianity, the congregation rejoiced today and shouted, "Yes, We did!"

Hundreds of worshipers packed into the sanctuary for a joyous service that celebrated the church's role in the spiritual awakening of a future president. Trinity's pastor, Rev. Otis Moss III, said history would note that Trinity was the holy place where "God stirred a young man's soul and put him on the path to the presidency."

I am still completely amazed that the issue of The Pentacostal Church, the Witch Hunter Pastor, Rev Parsley and Rev Hagee - NEVER got a moment's notice from the MSM.
After the enormous deal they made over Wright, I don't know how they resisted.

White extremist religion is far less sexy than the differentness of the black mainstream.

However it's too sad that he can't go back there...Rev.truly messed it all...he KNEW what he was doing on may...people of that church deserve to have one of their former members they cherish, and took care of , back to celebrate...it's obvious that this church shaped his consciousness even though he didn't agree with his pastor ...But hey,.My dad is a pastor and frankly there are many things i disagree with....
I'm quite mad at rev. Wright...though i know he did many great things that are now ignored and that's really really sad!!!!

EXCUSE ME, there is NOTHING WRONG with Reverend Wright.

What was wrong was the caricature that the media made of him. If you don't believe me look up what the WHITE McCain supporting preachers like Hagee, Parsley and some others are spouting off. The only reason you're not inflamed about them is that the media found a black preacher so much more stereotypical to put into the media spin to inflame and scare people with.

Reverend Wright is a true patriot, former marine. So put your critical thinking cap on.

Second that. By the way, those sermons were awesome, and I wished more Americans would listen to people like Wright.

Trinity was also a church divided over the Wright/Obama mess too. Obama defended his friendship with Wright until Wright started speaking about Obama negatively (out of jealousy I suppose).

Elizabeth Hasselbeck often screamed on the stage that Obama distanced himself from his radical friend. No, Obama left Rev. Wright alone when it started to implode the church. There was serious divisiveness within the church and he chose to leave rather than put the church thru that. Obama was the bigger person and Christian for it. He didn't leave for the edited clips America heard and he didn't agree with everything Wright preached about either.

You said it! I hope now that the congregation can get back some semblance of normalcy.
