In a somewhat predictable move, Joe The Plumber, aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, has signed a book deal. Joe told Fox News that he was "broke," but still took time in considering his publishing house because he wanted to spread the wealth around.

"Everyone came at me to write a book. They had dollar signs in their eyes. '101 Things Joe the Plumber Knows' or some stupid s--- like that. Excuse me, I am sorry," he said. "You know I will get behind something solid, but I won't get behind fluff. I won't cash in, and when people do read the book they will figure out that I didn't cash in. At least I hope they figure that out."

The book, called "Joe the Plumber -- Fighting for the American Dream," is to be released by a group called PearlGate Publishing and other small publishing houses.

"I am not going to a conglomerate that way we actually can get the economy jump started. Like there is five publishing companies in Michigan. There's a couple down in Texas. They are small ones that can handle like 10 or 15,000 copies. I can go to a big one that could handle a million or two. But they don't need the help. They are already rich. So that's spreading the wealth to me," he said.

CJR has reported several new details on the book today. Titled "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream," it's slated to be released on December 1st of this year and will be co-written with a novelist named Thomas Tabback.

It's scary how many clueless people in this country think "Joe the Plumber" has the right idea. He said to Rick Sanchez on CNN a few week ago that people making over $250,000 a year should not have to pay taxes. That is from a knucklehead that does not have a plumbers license and never made over $40,000 a year. He is the King of Dumb Rednecks.

I haven't read all the comments, so I do not know if someone already answered this, but a poster here said that Obama knocked on Joe's door and said he couldn't possibly be a McCain plant because of this. I have heard this argument many times, but if you watch the actual video, he never approached Joe W. Obama was campaigning in his neighborhood and Joe made his way through a crowd of onlookers to take to Obama. $250,000 is not as much as it sounds for a book deal. There might be a lot of conditions attached to it and he might not get the money all at once. I realize this might sound like a stupid analogy, but the million dollar winner of America's Got Talent gets $20,000 a year for 40 years. Still, this proves that any deadbeat who cheats on his taxes and lies can make money in America. You don't even have to be a 6 term Senator!

Wait a second here!

We've heard about a Book Deal, a country and western Recording Contract and even a Talk Show offer...

...but still Joe hasn't presented a BUSINESS PLAN to to any bank to buy his boss' PLUMBING SHOP!

Psh. I've been writing longer than this loser has been alive and still can't get published (and not to toot my own horn, but I know I can write circles around this chump). I'll be passing this one over, unless it comes out in toilet paper form.

That sucks Kevin. But maybe you should lie, not pay your taxes, be empty and vacuous and then success will come your way. Come to think of it Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin did exactly the same thing to get book deals! Don't worry, mediocrity doesn't rule everything.

"You know I will get behind something solid, but I won't get behind fluff. I won't cash in, and when people do read the book they will figure out that I didn't cash in. At least I hope they figure that out."

Lie #1 is about him getting behind something solid and not fluff. I would call the McCain/Palin campaign the least solid in recent memory and full of fluff.

Lie #2 is about him not cashing in. Firstly, he isn't cashing in because nobody really wanted him and he signed with some two bit unheard of publisher (he might as well self-published). Secondly, if he were not cashing in, he'd take all proceed and donate them to a non-profit or even the RNC. So, he is cashing in.

He's worried about his taxes going up under Obama's plan for the middle class but he is "broke?"

Is this man capable of telling the truth?

He was a McCain mole and on McCain payroll from day one. The whole thing was planned & calculated from the very begining. The happenstance comments to Obama, the photo op, the media blitz, the speeches...& now the book. what next the Made-For-TV movie on his life story? He is a hero to the dumb and ill-informed.

This is illogical. Obama met him on an unannounced door-to-door detour. How coul they have possibly known that Obama was going to do this, in time to get the guy in place? I see paranoia is not just for Fox bloggers

He's "broke" yet plans on buying a plumbing business.

Me thinks he hasn't been entirely forthright with us.....

Who knew that "figting for the American dream" consisted of lying your way into the hearts and minds of an old man and his floozy VP pick?

I still think he was a plant on Obama's rope line. I'd like to bet he is in some way related to Charles Keating, McCain's infamous friend. Researchers just couldn't find the connection.

Why do you give him a forum to advertise his "book"?
Who gives a s#&t!
He is IRRELEVANT.

I would suggest the format used in "The wit and Wisdom of Spiro T. Agnew" by Victor David Dinnerstein. It consisted of 240 blank pages. Hasn't this guy had his fifteen minutes of fame?
