I'm pretty bad off. I possess many ot the characteristics of an election junkie. Now I've sidestepped into a new category: "Politicoholic". I need to go to the store and get more cigarettes and some DunkinDonuts coffee.

I am addicted to Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow but that started long before the election season.

You know, I was type one through type five.

Still, I was glad when it was over. Perhaps, i would have had a harder transition if my candidate hadn't won. I don't know.

Still, there's plenty of news and things to be obsessed over, so I'm fine.

The way you "get over it" is to hop on a plane to Georgia and help Martin defeat Chambliss.

There's more to be done.

I used to meditate twice a day, once in the morning and once in late afternoon, before dinner. But through the election, I kept putting off the afternoon meditation to catch Hardball, then Keith, then Rachel. I told myself firmly that starting Nov. 5, I would be back to that second meditation in the afternoon. But has it happened? Not yet. I'm still an addict, hungry for any tidbit of news that might make me feel better about the economy, confirm my hope that Obama will be FDR for the 21st century, reveal even more narcissitic comedy routines from the gov of Alaska, or have me grinning like a fool at Rachel in her pajama bottoms. Help! I need an MSNBC 12-step program. Oh, of course I could TIVO, but I want it live, in the moment, NOW. Help me regain my connection to the infinite; help me get over election fever. And, God, wasn't it the election of a lifetime? Still, I"m trying to get myself back into the mulit-lifetime perspective... What would Buddha do?
