Stephen Colbert Mad At "Good Morning America" Following Christmas Segment

Stephen Colbert appeared on "Good Morning America" Monday for a hilarious segment previewing his Christmas special, in which he and Jon Stewart sing Christmas carols (the must-see video can be viewed here). Then Monday night on "The Colbert Report," Stephen went after GMA for unfairly giving away the ending to his special.

Here's some trivia related to the clip that might be of interest to some, whether you're a Colbert fan or not...

If you live in the colder parts of the country (that includes you too Palin !) and you are looking for an excellent winter parka, the red coat he's wearing is made by a company called "Canada Goose", and the specific model is the "Expedition". These coats are duck down filled, and the higher end models are also available with goose down. These parkas are famous as the outerwear used by all the folks at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. These are the best damned cold weather coats on the planet, and reasonably priced. I got one last year and it's the main reason I don't mind the winter any more ;) If you're interested, Google "Canada Goose coat", and also, make sure you don't buy one from the internet since 99% of those are counterfeits made in China.

BTW, I don't work for the company, but I am very impressed with this coat.

I've seen Stephen Colbert angry before, but this time he was pig-bitin' mad! My only objection to the segment was that...well I don't know about you, but didn't it seem almost like a promo for his Christmas special, airing at 10 ET on Sunday night? I've been wrong before.

No WAY! Those little "mini-programs," as we call them, just have more "product placement," than some other shows do...That's because the shows are so short (some as little as just :30), you tend to notice these things more, is all...

Take everything Colbert says with a grain of salt. He is funny and I love to watch him. During the election the only 'news' I could relay on was from his show and the Jon Stewart Show. They told the truth with a comical edge. Unlike the real 'news' that was often biased and unfair.

It's interesting that he was on GMA. Before he landed with John Stewart's DAILY SHOW, he was a correspondent with GMA...for just one show. He did one piece for them and he was fired. So it seems fiting that Colbert would stick it to the folks who obviously didn't know the great talent they once had.
