Lifetime Files Countersuit Against NBC Over "Project Runway"

General Electric's NBC Universal was sued by Lifetime Networks over claims it is wrongfully blocking the cable channel from airing future episodes of the reality television series "Project Runway."

Lifetime, a joint venture between Hearst and Walt Disney, said in a complaint filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court that copyrights for the sixth season of "Project Runway" take priority over a court order won by NBC preventing the show from airing in January 2009.

"Lifetime already has expended considerable resources and money to position its Lifetime Television network to launch the next cycle," Lifetime said in the complaint. "The failure to launch "Project Runway" as expected will have a serious negative impact on Lifetime's goodwill with its viewers and advertisers."

BravoTV is the home of Project Runway. I think this is the general consensus and no one was looking forward to the move besides Lifetime.

I concur! Project Runwau doesn't belong on Lifetime. Think about it , we would have to learn to read lips or guess what they were saying because most of the dialogue would be bleated out!
