AFP:

US President George W. Bush believes the Iraq war was a success and is "very pleased" with what is happening there, he said in a pre-recorded interview broadcast on a Japanese television network Sunday.

"I think the decision to remove Saddam Hussein was right," Bush told the Sunday Project programme of the private Asahi network.

Alan Colmes leaving Hannity and Colmes. Maybe now we can get a smart liberal on the show instead of the rag mop that Alan is. Big problem, there aren't any smart liberals.

I've been laid up in bed the last couple days. Don't worry, nothing serious, I'll be fine. But if would like to send candy I'll give you my address.

Woodrow, it's 2008. Nobody's buying the stay the course, cut and run rhetoric anymore. That's why your party was blown away in 2006 and 2008. Guys like you are rapidly going the way of the 8 track tape. Get with the program, Woodrow.

Euroguy, watch your mouth. Do not disrespect my country again. I'm outraged over the way things have gone over the last 8 years too, but I still love this country and served it proudly in uniform.

You're either going to be part of the rebuilding process, or else you're in the way. Right now, both of you clowns are in the way. Either get on board, or get the h*ll out!

Woodrow here is a troll to the highest degree. His intention is to muck up the dialog by posting inane comments. How can we report this trash?

Look how boring it would be here without me. All you folks would be just stroking each other in your little echo chamber.

You should thank me for my work here to keep things entertaining.

You just don't get it do you, punk.

The Useless States of Amer*unts were the AGGRESSORS, RAPERS, pillagers, abusers, and occupiers of Iraq.

What you sli me need is about 10 big truck bombs in the Green Zone.

now beat it, PUNK.

It's not a p*ssing contest Woodrow. These are american service members who's lives are on the line. We're not going to stay the course when we've never been on course. It's called adjusting fire. Do you understand that concept?

This coming from the coward that just a little earlier said "that as long as the gas is cheap you don't care how many people have to die?" You are a pathetic coward man. I'd love to run into you some day.

So Bush is pleased with the outcome of the Iraq war. Well, first of all there is no outcome yet. Did Bush think the war would grind to a halt at hte end of his sorry presidency? Secondly, how can he be please with the unneccessary deaths of over 4,000 American troops and countless Iraqi citizens. How can he be pleased with the tens of thousands of maiming injuries to both combatants and civilians. How can he be pleased that millions have been displaced from their homes and may never recover their lives. How can he be pleased that thousands of American soldiers will return to the US mentally scarred for life and that many of them will either take their own lives or the lives of others because the government doesn`t think it`s duty is to treat them for their mental and physical injuries. The answer, of course, is that he can be pleased because he never thinks of any of these consequences. Bush does not see beyond a two or three foot circle in which he and his ego resides. This is a man (I use the term loosely) that has spent his entire life getting away with things. For that his disfunctional parents should be blamed. For his actions during the time since the war began he and his cronies must face the blame.

How can anyone be pleased at this outcome. Thousands dead, billions wasted. The man has no concept of reality whatsoever.

He couldn't be a war criminal. Americans don't commit war crimes like unprovoked invasions of other countries.

I sure hope you have your day in court, along with your entire misAdministration. I fervently hope you get verbally lambasted wherever you go after you leave office. You have been sheltered by President Cheney for far too long and once out in the real world people will be able to tell you what they think of you and you'll have to listen for once.
Awesome.

Oh yeah, You're going to build a Freedom Institute in Texas? You have got to be kidding the world, right? Freedom and Bush in the same sentence just doesn't make it past the smell test. What do you know about freedom? Nothing.

Perhaps Bush can now fulfill his military obligation that he ducked in the Viet Nam era, and take Draft-Dodging Dick with him. They would both look very good in Baghdad.

Exactly.
He also kept most everyone from going to jail.

He took the money and he is riding off into the sunset. What's even more amusing is that most people just want him to get a faster horse.

Did anyone see the documentary about Halibuton "Contractors" and the "Cost Plus" prices they were billing the Govt. for jobs and supplies that used to be filled by army personnel ? Greed and Evil is all I can say about Bush and his friends.

I am sure Cheney and his puppet are very pleased with the war.
Billions of dollars for Halliburton.
Billions of dollars for Blackwater.
No end in sight - which means continuing profits.
Bin Laden still on the loose - after all, he is a family friend.
Imprisoning and torturing people at will - and nary a single subpoena.
Multi-trillion dollar cost contributes to financial collapse - opens doors to another trillion dollars in gifts to friends.
Soldiers forced to stay past enlistment - sometimes multiple tours without being let out.
Gained control to the richest and easiest to obtain oil fields in the world.
Over 4,000 Americans dead and over 100,000 injured - but no major war protests at home!
