Britney Spears takes the December 11 cover of Rolling Stone, out Friday. Here are some preview quotes via USA Today:

Brit feeling like an old fart: "I feel like an old person now. I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don't go out or anything."

Her manager Larry Rudolph on his expectations:
"This is going to be the album that cements her legend status."

Rolling Stone on getting Brit for their cover feature: "[Interviewing the star was a] rigorously micromanaged process. We were never left alone together, and my questions had to be submitted ahead of time for approval."

Brit gets to go on dates, supervised by her assistant, Brett, and Rudolph's colleague, Adam Leber: "Right when we got there, we just knew it was just bad. He looked like an older version of Harry Potter, but skinnier. ... So I had to get dessert first. And the other date I had, the guy was really, really tall and a lot older. ... We're trying to ask him questions, like, 'OK, you're into martial arts, so what kind of martial arts are you into?' And he was like, 'Oh, all kinds.' ... But you know how silly we are, so we were just cracking up."

On her two sons Sean and Jayden: "Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they're such special people... [But they] are starting to learn words like 'stupid,' and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn't get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids."

alas, proof of how many people don't really think marraige and/or worse parenthood through thoroughly. i used to see marraige encoutner stickers in rear view windows with either a cross or a star of david on it. why isn't this program more widespread, not just through the religious community but the secular as well? otherwise young people like brittany could avoid the disaster of doomed marriages to putzes like k-fed and having children who in all likelihood will not have memories of their parents together.

and there are those who think that gay marriage is a threat to the "sacred" instituion of marriage.

Nasty tattoo and belly button. Phony interview. Strongly object to distortion of phrase "yes we can": it has more meaning and importance than to be paraphrased in PR article pushed with cooperation from Rolling Stone. If I weren't a subscriber, I'd pass on this issue.

Oh hell no! Did they really put on there "Yes she can"??? They stole the saying from Obama and threw it on to BRITNEY SPEARS? Wow..that's so lame. I'm sorry, but Britney is done. I used to be such a huge fan of hers. But she's fizzled out.

I was a senior in high school when Miss Spears became famous, and I was her biggest fan. After seeing her lip sync in concert, I was okay, but I realized she's not a great dancer, but I still loved her music. She has a great team of songwriters, choreographers and whatnot behind her, but she really isn't anything special. She's allowed herself to be used to make money for others and couldn't take it anymore. I hope she finds the true path that's meant for her if music isn't it.

Also, I feel her "fall from grace" was orchestrated. I refuse to believe that no one could have prevented what this woman went through. If she truly was traumatized, I hope people will allow her time to heal and be okay. Just re-packaging her and throwing her out into the limelight again will not solve this woman's problems.

She really should have taken some more time off, if any. I do not believe for a second that she's any better than she was before.

Troubled singer Britney Spears has been allowed to go on dates but only if she is under the supervision of her assistant or the members of her management team.
