Obama Transition A Boon For Chicago Hilton

No one will be sadder when President-elect Barack Obama finally splits town and heads to Washington for good than the folks who run the Hilton Chicago, where Mr. Obama has held a series of press conferences lately, and has scheduled another one for Wednesday.

Exact details are hard to come by. But at a time when the lodging biz is in the dumper, Mr. Obama's transition team reportedly has reserved the Hilton's Continental Ballroom for several weeks at a stretch. In addition, several dozen federal security agents are shacked up in the facility, which is centrally located between Mr. Obama's Kenwood home and his downtown offices.
