Aaron Jay Lemon: Babysitter Admits Using Child In Porn Film

MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to answering an online advertisement for baby-sitting work and then using the client's child to make a pornographic video.

In a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Aaron Jay Lemon admitted Wednesday to producing the video. The 23-year-old from Little Canada also admitted to coercing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct.

The plea agreement says Lemon filmed the child in St. Paul after seeking the baby-sitting job through Craigslist. St. Paul police say the victim was a 2-year-old girl.

The U.S. attorney's office says the case was part of a project that encourages agencies to investigate the sexual exploitation of children over the Internet.

The office says Lemon faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.

anyone using something like craiglist for the responsibility of looking after the welfare of their child is just asking for trouble in my opinion. their bad judgement should be factored into this. whatever happened to finding someone you know through a friend in the neighborhood?

This is such a bad thing. I feel compelled to wonder what need prompted the mom to look for a sitter on craigs list in the first place. Our society is so eagar to point the all knowing finger all the time. No, I don't think that craigs list is the best place to find a sitter for any child, boy or girl. But, some people are nieve, young and trusting, while some are just plain desperate and unfortunately some, are just plain creepy like the pedophile that answered the ad. I hope he gets his due in prison, and I hope the little girl is too young to remember any of the stuff that happened to her when she grows up.

You need to be wary of everyone looking after your child - woman included.

It is easy for a male to manipulate a female (unbalanced /weak) nanny who he has a relationship with to get to a child. Female nannies have also been involved in causing harm to minors in their care through physical abuse.

Need to be suspicious of everyone.

This brings back fears that parents (fathers and mothers) have regarding male babysitters. I don't doubt that most male babysitters would never do something like this (and certainly some female babysitters would resort to this type of this behavior).

In a society that attempts to crack down on child pornography while increasingly disregarding sexual openness, it is a fear of mine that instances like this may become more common.

I worked in the Wayne County Jail for 15 years before I retired and I can say with all certainty that when this creep gets to prison, I guarantee you that he will spend every waking moment wondering what is going to happen to him next ,and, whatever does happen next is going to be very painful and as long as he is being held in the local jail, he will be segregated from other inmates but that will end when he gets to his final destination,also known as LIVING HELL!!!

I've always wondered about that. The urban myths include vengeful behavior for child and spousal abuse. Does the crime always precede the prisoner? Do the other guys know what's coming? Sure sure as poop, the new guy knows.

Craigslist has become the mecca for let the buyer beware. Me, I have absolutely no patience or tolerance for child abuse -- be it physical, sexual, psychological ( an area that needs much more evaluation). This guy is about to spent the longest period of h ell in his life in prison, where there is a code about hurting children. Most inmates don't tolerate child abuse, so he will pay.

I would've prosecuted the parent as well, for neglect.

I think his point was that if the criminal was black, they would say "a black minnesotan man". When white people commit crimes, it is merely an independent incident separate from race. When a person of color commits a crime, their race is immediately identified and backlashes occur against a whole group of people.

He is a monster and will be treated as such. At the same time, we as a society should try to figure out what causes such deplorable behavior and eliminate it.

I wanted to say something nasty about the intelligence of a person to not only get a nanny from craigs list but a male nanny from craigs list to watch a little girl. But I am wondering maybe this person was truly desperate and had no choice? I dunno, but I have always been against male nannies. I thought it was so risky when it became trendy by celebrities. Women all know that within most of our own families and communities we have men that cross the line with young children, as a matter of fact, studies prove it happens more within the family circle than elsewhere.

I just think if common sense tells you not to fully trust even your own male familiy members that you don't know very well with your young girls , why would you trust some random man who passed a reference check with your little girl? I knoiw not all male babysisters are this way, I am sure most are honorable men, but a woman should NEVER have a man who she barely knows in care of her young children , especially girls. There is too much that can go wrong.

Yeah, I don't know too many young men who are desperate enough to babysit that they would look for a client on Craigslist. Being a young man, I am certainly no mecca for parenting advice, but even I know an idea that bad when I see one. Its like buying a car for less than $500 that "runs perfectly", except that caring for your two year old is a heck of a lot more important, and risky, than buying a cheap car.
