Palin Won't Release Troopergate Testimony

As far as Gov. Sarah Palin is concerned, "troopergate" is behind her and she won't provide a transcript of testimony she gave in an investigation into whether she violated ethics laws in firing her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan.

Palin has maintained she did nothing wrong and that Monegan was dismissed for reasons unrelated to her concerns about her ex-brother-in-law, Trooper Michael Wooten. She had called Wooten a "trooper time-bomb" and complained to Monegan in an e-mail that Wooten had tasered his stepson, drank in his patrol car, and shot a moose without a permit, and yet was still on the street.

She has proven many times she is an empty suit. Why can't the American public not just forget her. Leave her alone. Why do you have to dig in her incompetence? Why do you show the world how ignorant and stupid she was and still remains. America is the laughing stock of the world. What has my country's history to do with Sarah Palin ? Absolutely nothing. We are talkíng about the present, not the past. In chosing her as a VP candidate, McCain put your nation in a dangerous situatiion that cannot be explained properly either way you might spin it. Her ignorance and openly displayed stupidity would have brought the whole western world into danger. America or Germany is not the issue. After the 8 years of the Bush desaster, the world can ask more from leadership than a nutcase like Sarah Palin. In that sense Obama was a very good choice, thank you America.

No doubt t Officer M. would have legal rights for seeing the Palin testimony used in backing up their firing him from his position. I'm sure we will eventually see what Todd and Sarah said that backed up their decision to ax the officer and spread gossip about him and the x brother n law. They had no problem with sharing info with their administrative staff back when they were working to get the x bother n law fired. Why all of a sudden have they gone.... secret?

You don't think her attempt to keep this story on ruining an Alaskan State trooper's reputation is worthy of a story? Chances are she is eventually going to be sued for slander of one or the other officers in question. This is a serious matter, and good luck in never being in a position of having to set the story straight with your own name and reputation, and then having to fight some a s s who is in the power position and keeps their testimony they used on destroying you--all secret. Don't forget she is paid by the taxpayers...she has no rights in withholding the transcripts used to support her position in firing a state employee, and trying to get another one canned. What is she trying to cover up?

Sorry. On a personal level I do not care at all either. But in the last eight years incompetence and lack of acumen was declared a virtue in a politician by the Republican Party. This makes it a political issue. To make sure that irrational and radical candidates won't be paraded past your kids as a shining example of a Government official (not to forget, she's the possible GOP-candidate for the Presidency in 2012)...this is necessary.
