Exxon Valdez Payments Finally Start Coming In

The millions of dollars Exxon Mobil Corp. has surrendered as punishment for the Prince William Sound oil spill have started hitting the streets, nearly 20 years after the disaster.

Several commercial fishermen who joined in the lawsuit against Exxon reported receiving direct deposits in their bank accounts Monday. Paper checks are expected to go out in the mail in the next week.

The payments mark the beginning of a process to distribute $383 million among nearly 33,000 commercial fishermen and other plaintiffs.

No surprise here, and probably the reason for almost $5 a gallon gas, was Big Oil going ahead and taking the money from us, in order to finally start making these payments. What? You mean Big Oil wouldn't really pass on the costs to us? LOLOL!! They already did, ahead of time.

I hope that Dr. Riki Ott gets a draw of this cash to spur her on in her drive for a 28th amendment separating legally corporation and state.

That separation would have diminished if not prevented everyone of our governments unethical illegal immoral antics for the last many generations. It does this by eliminating the misfortunate circumstance that equates corporations (groups of people working in concert for economic profit) with human individuals. Our founders NEVER intended socially mutant entities such as "Big Blue" or Bank of America as citizens and their status as such is abhorrent to human rights.
