Obama's Inauguration: Parade Full Of Illinois Groups

Seven performance groups from Illinois, including the Jesse White Tumblers and three high school bands, have been selected for the Jan. 20 inaugural parade in Washington, officials announced Monday.

Marching bands have been invited from Whitney Young Magnet High School Navy JROTC in Chicago, Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park and Morton High School in Morton, near Peoria. Also chosen to perform were the Angel Drill Team of North Chicago; the World Famous Lawn Rangers from Amazing Arcola, a Downstate lawn-mower-pushing drill team; and the Tempel Lipizzans, performing horses from Tempel Farms in north suburban Wadsworth.

The Jesse White Tumblers, a group of young acrobats founded by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White in the late '50s, have appeared previously at inaugurations, as have the Tempel Lippizans.
