Aiko The Female Robot: Inventor Le Trung Talks About His Perfect Woman (VIDEO)

Inventor Le Trung and his fem-bot Aiko are profiled in the The Sun. Scroll down and watch video reacting like a "real female" to Trung's touch:

Inventor Le Trung, 33, created Aiko, said to be "in her 20s" with a stunning 32, 23, 33 figure, shiny hair and delicate features.

She even remembers his favourite drink and does simple cleaning and household tasks...

...The fem-bot has a touch-sensitive face and body so she reacts if shown affection or hurt.

"Like a real female she will react to being touched in certain ways. If you grab or squeeze too hard she will try to slap you. She has all senses except for smell," he said.

Check out video of Trung and Aiko. One minute and six seconds into the video, Trung touches Aiko's chest and she says, "I do not like it when you touch my breasts!"

There is so much wrong with this guy I don't even know where to start.

Oh wait, yes I do.

GET A LIFE.

You know as much as I used to love reading science fiction I never got the whole "robot who looks and acts like a 'real' human being." Well, really I DID I just didn't want to go there.

Now if he'd invent something that would clean my house, mow the lawn, wash the windows ... THAT would get me excited.

When asked by an interviewe­r "what kind of relationsh­ip he had with Aiko", Le Trung said that. "their relationsh­ip was platonic, for now". Apparently­, he has designs to consummate the relationsh­ip at some point in the future when he will presumably re-program some of the responses.

I think that his weirdo's brain is well-suite­d to the task. His invention is potentiall­y a life-saver­, preventing many a female from rape or abuse. May this invention some day be mass-produ­ced.

He seems like a really bright guy. Too bad his brain isn't being used to solve our energy/cli­mate issues instead. There are way too many great minds working on stupid projects.

Why does he give her a Japanese name, Aiko?! First, the scientist isn't Japanese, right? This seems like another "wierd Japan" story. It fits the narrative, but I'm worried about the image of Japan. This was NOT widely reported at all in Japan, by the way. It got alot of media attention in the US, it seems.

The inventor is Vietnamese­, but grew up partly in Japan, and now lives in a Toronto suburb. Aiko means love child in Japanese.

Thanks for the reply. When this went through the news in the US a few weekes ago (months ago?), I wondered how many people simply connected this to "another crazy Japanese invention" kind of story. BTW, I think "Aiko" is the name of the grand-daug­hter of the Emperor too. Can't say which "Aiko" this one is 100% without seeing the Kanji characters though.
