Washington Times :

Former Vice President Al Gore will host a "green" inaugural ball the night before President-elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office.

"The Green Ball: Inauguration of a New Green Economy" will be held Jan. 19 at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington.

A draft version of the invitation, obtained by The Washington Times, urges people to join Mr. Gore to "bring together a diverse coalition of environmentally-forward organizations, entrepreneurs, scientists and advocates, celebrating a commitment to growing the New Green Economy."

Ok, but only if it is held outside with only candle light on the dirt dance floor.

All the food must be raw vegtables no one is allowed in wearing leather shoes.

Anything other than that will be a typical Al Gore fraud.

Al Gore appears to be the "Environment Messiah' to everyone. But, the man who "invented the Internet" really crafts his message to those that share his financial interest. I just read in the Washington Times article that his hoopla is not even the real Green Ball. He took the name from another group already having a green event. Wake up people and see the man for what he really is. The man drove a gas guzzling SUV in his environmental movie for Pete's sake! Do a search on his electric bills at his home in Tennessee. We call this type of person a "flim flam artist" or a "snake oil salesman" in my neck of the woods.

It is the soldier, not the politician, Who has given us freedom of speech.

Yeah, I heard that. The original Green Inugural Ball is at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on January 17th. That's the first website http://www.greeninauguralball.com/
I've heard some chatter about it.

A green inaugural ball? Isn't that a tad inconvenient?

From Minority Report of Senate Committee on EPW:
****

"The UN global warming conference currently underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore. Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. The report has added about 250 scientists (and growing) in 2008 to the over 400 scientists who spoke out in 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers."

Al still has yet to discuss anything with a dissenting scientist.....But of course Leo DiCaprio and Laurie David make up the credibility gap

It's aptly named the "Green Ball," because at $300/ticket it cost a lot of green to go there in this down economy.
