I found it exceptionally gaudy & tasteless and very uncomfortable.
How can you relax with such sensory overloads?
The partner should donate it to a museum because that's where his "art" belongs.

Haditup2here, surely you jest.....IF I saw these items at a garage sale, I would be in HEAVEN!!!!

Loved the stuff and the glimps of yester-year....I'd love to have this issue of VF, If I could afford it :o(

Sadly, most of those items would hardly catch my eye if I saw them in a Garage Sale. I know from the article that he is a designer--but most of those items look like junk. Nevertheless, someone will pay for it.
This just looks like materialism gone wild.

I would rather touch millions of people rather than having a million items of "stuff". Besides, no one can take their millions or "stuff" when they go into the ground. Michael Jackson is another one -- but that is another story in itself.

I don't agree with you about the quality of the art and artifacts, but I have to agree that I can't recall a more egregious example of conspicuous consumption than this.
