Tara Reid Heads To Rehab

LOS ANGELES — A publicist says Tara Reid has checked herself into rehab. Jack Ketsoyan said Friday that the "American Pie" star went to the Promises Treatment Center. He did not specify what she was being treated for or when she entered the facility.

"We appreciate your respect to her and her family's privacy at this time," he said in a statement.

Reid, 33, earned a reputation as a drunken partier after famously being photographed on a red carpet with her breast exposed, apparently unaware that the strap of her dress had fallen off.

Her film credits include "Van Wilder" and "The Big Lebowski." She also hosted the short-lived, half-hour show "Taradise" on E!

Tara had so much potential early on, could have been a megastar. I remember alot of people being envious of her blond hair and bright eyes and big smile. Like a living, breathing barbie doll or something. Yet, for whatever reason, she's indulged in the bad side of life. I for one, will never understand why people will willing do drugs and gorge themselves on alcohol to the point of addiction. At one time I smoked, and it took me like 5 years to finally quit. I can only imagine how hard it is to break a drug or alcohol addiction. So I have some sympathy for these people, yet, they made their choices in life and they need to accept responsibility for it. Those that don't want help, can't ever be helped. I have a nephew in that position and it infuriates me and others in the family. He'll probably die long before he ever sees 40.

Tara, please take advantage of the help you can get there.

does anyone remember when tara reid starred in a film with christian slater where she was a RESEARCH SCIENTIST?! no really! you could totally tell, 'cause she was wearing nerd glasses and carried a clipboard. may have also worn a lab coat. I think the movie had monsters in it or something

great stuff. hope she gets through rehab successfully, because there's an entire generation of noxiously craven camera whores out there who have been inspired by her "career," which begs the question: who should star in the "tara reid story?"

Tara Reid played a genius anthropologist who wore glasses, a lab coat and carried a clipboard. It was called "Alone in the Dark" - at least, that's what I found out through www.imdb.com.

I think this is up to a double-digit stint in rehab that Tara is on now. Good luck to her.
