Burglar Ghost

A burglar who broke into a house claims he was held captive by a "supernatural figure" for three days without food and water, officials said.

Police official Abdul Marlik Hakim Johar told The Star newspaper the house's owners found the 36-year-old man fatigued and dehydrated when they returned from vacation Thursday.

He says they called an ambulance to take him to a hospital.

The man told police that every time he tried to escape, a "supernatural figure" shoved him to the ground.

Abdul Marlik could not immediately be reached and other police officials declined to comment.

--- MDHutchinson said: "may have been hallucinating"? May? You really think there's a possibility an actual ghost was involved?
I'm sorry, but the analogy of ghosts to radio waves is just plain weak. I could offer a long polemic on the various errors in the analogy, but it mainly comes back to the simple fact that even though we can't see radio waves, we have ways of detecting them... ---

Actually TimWest, science can explain the tricks magicians do. If you think they can't then why hasn't any one won the $1M Challenge from the JREF.

if the police was interviewed by The Star newspaper, then it might be Malaysia.

I have a question though. If we are to take it that the guy was hallucinating, what on earth kept him from getting some water and food from the house? Also, what drug makes you hallucinate for three days? One more thing, drug possession and use is punishable by long prison term in Malaysia. Something happened to the guy.

That is the most inadequately reported story I've ever read...Let's start with the basics, AP: what? who? where? when? why?

Totally. What's next? A black and white, blurry picture of a flat object which they'll claim is a UFO?

I thought this bad, fake reporting was left back in the '70s. Give me a break.

It's a ghost story, there are no details. What are they meant to say, "Upon further investigation the whole story was discovered to be bullshit".

Why doesn't this piece mention that this story comes from Malaysia?

Seems there are two places in the world: America and 'somewhere else'.

Because its not that important a piece. Except maybe to you. It's amazing to me that someone can squeeze in a line about American ignorance in an article about ghosts.

Once again, proof that if criminals weren't so stupid, the cops would never catch any of them.
