This confirms that the war in Iraq was the biggest mistake that George Bush ever made. We spend billions of dollars freeing this little puke stain from an assassin like Saddam Hussein, and he dares to throw shoes at the man who freed him. Throwing shoes over there is equal to peeing on someone here.

This image, this incident, will be iconic. What a perfect symbol of the contempt most Iraqis have for this disgrace of a man. And what a strong, symbolic statement of how Bush is leaving office, with people throwing shoes at him, cursing him, condemning him.

We'll all remember this, in the same way we remember Nixon, before he stepped aboard the helicopter in August 1974, on his way out, bearing the shame and humiliation he did so much to earn.

Given his crimes against humanity, his waste of lives and treasure, his trampling of human rights, his lies and his sociopathic actions, George W. Bush deserves much more than insults.
