Tina Fey Plays Sarah Palin For NY Dem Caucus

New York Magazine reports that Tina Fey has revisited her Sarah Palin impersonation:

Tina Fey took her Sarah Palin impression out of mothballs for Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and his Democratic caucus earlier this month. NBC boss Jeff Zucker asked her to make the appearance, according to Fey's manager, David Miner. "He doesn't ask every day for something," Miner says. The lawmakers voted for legislation this year expanding tax credits for New York film and television productions, like 30 Rock. Miner says Fey was happy to be there, but one lawmaker in attendance isn't convinced. "She seemed incredibly uncomfortable," he said. "It was like she didn't know what she was doing there. Someone said, 'Do a Sarah Palin!' and she did a Sarah Palin." Fey posed for pictures before racing out to finish a script for a 30 Rock episode shooting the next day. "The tax breaks helped save our show" and its city jobs, says Miner. But he promised that for now, "Palin is still retired."

As you read through the post you can see the mighty influence of the media. The important part of the post was told in the last line by Tina. I did it because they promised to save my show. Tina was placed in a very awkward position when she met with Sarah, because Tina acknowledges she was ridiculing the lady for pay. Money, doing harm, put downs, degrading another person to feel superior. I find this joyful pleasure equal to laughing at Tina's scar. Oh and what was said here, is you can see the soviet union from Alaska. How many of you thought that wasn't so? It is, you can. Russians come to Alaska, so do Asians, and Canadians. And I never heard! How much foreign experience did Gore have, or even Biden! Or gosh Obama!! Who do you suppose is the top of oversight of international trade in Alaska? The Governor? Tina did this for her party! Tina meant it to be dumb and offensive, for the hateful Democrats. The loving liberals. What she didn't realize is that people are a live in a world today that take her work seriously. They think this is how people really are. Tina has already felt the sting of hurting a likable person. When you are in the public eye, you should be prepared to get hit every now and then and made the brunt of jokes.
