Obama Intelligence Picks Delayed

WASHINGTON -- President-elect Barack Obama's search for senior intelligence officials is still unfinished weeks after other national-security picks were named, showing the political sensitivities in choosing the leaders who will decide whether to continue Bush-era antiterror policies.

Mr. Obama named key national-security positions on Dec 1. But the front-runner for director of national intelligence, retired Adm. Dennis Blair, has hit a hurdle, which he may yet overcome, people familiar with the matter said. That post and the head of the Central Intelligence Agency remain unfilled.
