Presidential Retreats: Past And Present (SLIDESHOW)

Barack Obama continues to embrace his message of change, even in his personal life. The President-elect recently shared that he will be returning to his Chicago home during breaks in his presidential schedule.

Past presidents have preferred more sprawling, private oases: JFK had Hyannis, Nixon wintered in Key Biscayne, the Reagans retreated to Rancho del Cielo in Santa Barbara, and the Bushes had Kennebunkport and, now, Crawford Ranch. (The Clintons did not have a vacation home of their own, often opting to borrow homes belonging to others). Check out the presidential havens below:
