Continuing his valedictory media tour, President Bush and his family sat down with People magazine. While discussing what he plans to do after he leaves the White House, President Bush said he'd be open to suggestions.

What are you most looking forward to about life after the White House?

The President: It's hard to tell, hard to imagine what it's like to go from 100 miles an hour to 5. I'm going to want to build a policy institute at Southern Methodist, probably write a book. And beyond that, I'm open for suggestions. [laughter]

Mrs. Bush: I look forward to a more normal life. I look forward to the next house we are going to have, that will be ours, with our own things in it. As much as I've loved this, I'm ready to move on to that next step.

I've got a few suggestions, but I don't think any of them would be approved on this thread.

Warning!! The following comments are way, way TOO KIND to this miserable cretin! Yes, they are a tribute to the finest kind of American largess, but, honestly, this former president does not deserve any kind of forgiveness! If he was so far out of it that he truly had no idea that his actions would have so devastating an impact, then his henchmen should be hauled up on charges for allowing him to do it!

No Way, America!! George Bush's crowd does NOT deserve any form of Kudo! They deserve PUNISHMENT of some sort!

I'm just sorry the shoe thrower yelled. If he had kept quiet he would have hit Bush right in the face.

go to iraq and help them with their newly created democracy. i'm sure since you have been seen as their "liberator" that you could, by the time you are out of office, walk the streets freely and without fear instead of flying in unannounced in the middle of the night as you have since you began this "just war" as you are so fond of calling it. you might want to watch for the occasional flying shoe...

Open to suggestions?

He can't think of one philanthropic cause on his own? Does he need to call Cheney for EVERY DECISION?

How about this: Clean up the land mines in Afghanistan, personally, with an axe and a hammer...

If asked, I would say to President Bush:

"Please live a quiet life outside of politics. Tend to your ranch, have a barbecue, drink beer, ride horses, write your book... I don't care as long as your influence in politics wanes and fizzles out, as the best we can hope for your legacy is to simply forget it. I say this is out of sincere concern for your own well being, as you have not aged well in eight years, as well as ours, as your administration has been one of secrecy, corruption, and greed, a threat to our liberty, and a scourge on our country."

See for yourself George if that ol' Ebola virus is as tough as they say. But why wait until after January 20th?

Let us keep our shoes on.
As for Bush, I suggest getting a good lawyer,
to prepare for all the law suits he will face. How is this as a first?
Americans file a class action suit against the Bush admin.
If this is done, it will set a sequence of events that will let our future
leaders know that “we are mad as hell, and we are not going
to take this anymore!!!"

Bush should fall on the swords given to him by his Saudi Royal family friends and make it look like an accident- You know a hari-kari Japanese style. That will be his legacy. it's never been done before or let throw shoes at him every time he comes out in public.
