Nice sweaters! A great gift choice -- helps everyone keep the thermostat lower and benefits the companies making the clothes who probably employ people and so on...it's a ripple effect.

so if there were more minorities on the staff then you think it would lend credibility to the opinion posts? anywyas, as i understand it, those are just the people for responbile for editing and managing the informatio­n... the posters are from a range of people who dont directly work for the website... this is a non-issue, but funny because of the visceral reaction 'progressives' have towards a group of white people (as if it were intrinsicly wrong).

It's not really so complicated. If there were more minorities on the staff then there'd be more minorities with jobs.

One thing that really struck me is how relatively few people there are on the staff... especially when you consider the volume of editing/pr­oofreading­, posting/updating and especially comment-moderating necessary to run this site. Not to suck up or anything, but you guys obviously work very hard. Enjoy your sweaters!

i dont see a problem with it... the economy is bad, so its tacky to talk about a christmas present... actually, i remember reading that consumer spending for the holidays is quite strong despite the financial crisis...

Are you people blind? I see two, possibly three people of color in there. Unless you're just using the phrase "people of color" to mean only black people. I'm hispanic and the last time I checked I was a person of color too.

I will admit, I'm surprised there are so few people of color though.

actually, you may not be... hispanic is not a color i.e. race... there are white hispanics, black hispanics, mulattos, metizos... if obama were hispanic, he would be mulatto... if you travel to latin american country and say your race is hispanic, they may not understand you...
