I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Barack Obama might have little option but to follow George W. Bush's approach on a range of foreign policy issues, including Iran, said Condoleezza Rice, secretary of state.

Ms Rice told the Financial Times the new administration was likely to follow Mr Bush's lead in the dispute over Iran's nuclear programme. During the president's second term, the US has co-ordinated its approach with the European Union, Russia and China.

I suspect Mizz Rice is correct. Obama is NOT stupid and would not wish to invite attack and be blamed for it. Would he?

The term Peter Principal coined in the 60's can now be renamed the Bush principal. Condi goes from a failure as National Security adviser where she was on 9/11 to Secretary of State.

Brown goes from a second rate lawyer for the Arabian Horse Show to head FEMA.

Paulson goes from running Goldman Sachs into the ground to running our whole economy into the ground.

Bush himself goes from being a lousy owner of a baseball team to being a lousy governor to a worse president.

Yep the Peter / Bush (now there is a juxtaposition of words) Principal is alive and well.

If people DEMAND that the Bush Administration be investigated, it will be. It was only the demands of the 9/11 wives that got the 9/11 Commission started - for what that was worth. Bush didn't even want to do that. If we let them go, then they go scott free. What do you want, AMERICA ?????

For once, I actually agree with Condi! Sending troops to Afghanistan to confront Russian, China, and India seems to be the real plan. How many Americans will die there. Is Obama really looking for UBL? What a joke! Control of the pipeline corridor might be a reason. Where would he place the troops from Iraq? He will substitute one war for another to keep the "surge" going.

The Democratic party is not the Peace and Freedom party. It isn't even "green." Fooled again, my friends. The biggest threat to the US is right on Wall Street.

Hillary Clinton will be the exact opposite of Condi Rice. Hillary will not be snookered by Putin, will not coddle Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and will insult our true allies in Europe and Japan.

So Secretary Rice thinks the Obama Administration will follow Bush's policies. I am sure the Obama Administration will be far more productive than what we have received from Secretary Rice. Obama's trip to Europe during the election did more for US foreign policy than the 8 years of the Bush Administration. Personally Secretary Rice is not the person I would ask on even the simplest of matters, because as far as I can see see has been as incompetent as the rest of the Bush Administration. If she has accomplished something someone please enlighten me.

As my reply to an earlier post which essentially said that Condi Rice was "the most pathetic sec of state" ever ("I have seen") has obviously been cen sored, even though all I did was to list the record of Nobel Peace Prize winner Henry Kis singer, let me just briefly say that in my humble opinion there has been at least one sec of state who's policy output has been more catastro phic than Ms. Rice's.

Thanks for the attention.

Kissinger's a war criminal. How many countries is it that he can't go into now? He's afraid of being arrested and tried - as well he should be.

Another witless prognostication from one of the worst Secretaries of State in history. She's been so wrong her entire career it's foolish for us to expect anything different. Her legacy: How could someone supposedly so smart be so naive?

She's not smart, she's well-spoken and she's purely symbolic. Her talent is in making middle-aged white men feel enlightened.

Condi is just trying to justify her own failings and that of the Administration..... "They will get into office and realize that my way was the right way.... and that is what they will do..."

When it comes to hubris Condi has a bunch of it......

I am sadly forced to agree. Biden's comments suggest that there will be no accounting for this crime of an Administration.

As I recall we DID do it when we brought down Richard Nixon. And it wasn't that long ago if I can actually remember it.

We should have impeached Bush. I don't know why we didn't. I suppose after 9/11 they were afraid of looking "soft" on terrorism. Later, I guess it seemed too late and they were looking towards the 2008 election.

I just want the Bush crowd to go away. Just GO.
