Britney's Dad Gets A Raise: $75/Hour For Daughter Sitting

LOS ANGELES — A court has put a higher value on being Britney Spears' father this year: about $75 an hour.

For helping his daughter through her turbulent period, Jamie Spears on Monday was awarded an additional $51,000 payout, reflecting an increase in his monthly payments since he took over his 27-year-old daughter's affairs in February.

Jamie Spears had been receiving $10,000 a month for his work, but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz increased that amount to approximately $16,000 per month and agreed to give him backpay.

He was also granted an additional $1,200 monthly payment so he can maintain and office, which Goetz said was justified by his work getting his daughter's personal life _ and music career _ back on track.

Something is badly wrong in how she is bein g treated. Number one, she is an adult, not a child, and has civil rights, even as someone with depression or bi polar disorder. Her civil rights have been stripped away from her, allowing her father to determine her actions and behaviors, thoughts, ect. That is ILLEGAL> What kind of kickbacks is the judge and lawyer getting to allow this? The girl isn't dangerous, is being treated as if she has down's syndrome, and even they get more civil rights than Brittany does. Both the judge and her father need to go. That girl needs to be allowed to live her life, make mistakes, grow up like the rest of us. I feel sorry for her, really sorry for her, and would kill to be her advocate. She needs one badly. She isn't a little kid, she is an adult. It time her father butts out of her life.

So the record company decides to market her again, pays for a trainer to get her back in shape, makes another semi-pornographic video, gets her a couple of line readings on TV, and releases all these notices about how she's turned her life around. He's not being paid to be a father, he is being paid for his time that it takes manage her basically. I think he should be compensated for what he is doing. Had it not been for her father, she would still be running around with the Pappi taking her picture even in the bathroom stalls. He helped her get herself together so she could get her career back on track and is now able to see her kids more. So I say hats off to dad, he should be paid more, heck other managers are. She is ticked off at him, but I say she is ungrateful, had he not stepped in that photograph that was taking advantage of her, would probably own everything she has. Heck that lazy Kevin Federline is taking her money for being a father and is to lazy to work to support his own kids, so don't complain about her father doing a good thing.

I smell an insurance policy on her. If you declare someone mentally incompetant, you can get an insurance policy on them and clean them out financially. He belongs in jail, and she needs to be freed of him asap. She is legally and mentally competant. She didn't get a lobotomy, she was misdiagnosed and was improperly medicated . This is none of my business, but am just stepping in a comment here. This father/daughter relationship can't work unless the father provides love/support and personal time. If he receives payment for anything from her, as generous as it is, he'll regret it for the rest of his life, because, Britney will one day reflect on her parents motives, and feel they used her. Parents should never manage their kids, it's a recipe for disaster.
