Chicago Airports Expect Huge Holiday Crowds
One of the busiest days of the holiday travel season is here.
The Chicago Department of Aviation says Tuesday, the day before Christmas Eve, should bring 54,000 passengers to city's Midway Airport.
Sunday is expected to be the heaviest travel day at O'Hare International Airport. That's when more than 200,000 passengers are expected.
Live entertainment will greet many holiday travelers at both airports. Officials warn passengers not to bring gift-wrapped presents because they may be opened in security lines. The aviation department will offer complimentary gift wrap services Tuesday.
And the USO, will hand out goodie bags with snacks and water to military personnel at special welcome stations.
