Where is that amazing video of the dog that drags another dog off a busy street?
That should be here.
The dolphin bubbles made me smile and the lion reunion made me cry.

These animals are being manipulated and prompted to threaten one another. One bird is trying to prevent being attacked by assuming a "I don't exist" camoflauge pose.

This is not entertaining and I'm contacting PETA.

Wow that owl is cool. So, it puffs up when it sees an owl it thinks it can take on, but shrivels up to hide from one it can't.

Love it... being a nature nerd, now I'll be googling about this all day.

Not having more than one word ("Hai!") of Japanese, I'm guessing that Owl #1 is puffing itself up (much like a cat will do) to scare off Owl #2. For Owl #3, #1 looks like he or she is trying to appear to be less than a full meal, or playing "How Not to be Seen."

I had the honor of meeting Skidboot and his owner. Skidboot has been gone for awhile now and can't be replaced. We all have had that certain dog that we connected with and when they died, there isn't another one. We go ahead and get other dogs, but that one stays in our hearts forever. Skidboot helped his owners purchase vehicles and a home. Most of all he gave his heart and soul to them.( My Tip greeted him, I'm sure)

The owl's lifespan will undoubtedly be longer than it would in the wild.

He will eat better.

He will have medical care.

He will probably get laid on a regular basis.

Grow up kids, this owl is better off than 90% of humanity.

lol. I'm sorry but I am TERRIFIED of that owl. Wouldn't want to happen upon him in a dark forest.

Everyone wants be free . . . all living beings.

This is not funny . . . this is teasing the natural needs of this beautiful creature.

Animals deserve to be treated with respect . . . and deserve to free.

videos like the one of christian the lion, or the dogs greeting the returning iraq vet, show us that animals are feeling, sentient creatures. they think and feel in the same way that we humans do. maybe they don't ponder their existence the way we do. maybe they don't need to think about their "happiness" the way that we do.....but they love, and they care for their babies and their loved ones. they have memories that have meaning to them.

no animal should live its life in a cage.

They will also tear you to shreds if you come near their young, even if you don't see them or mean them no harm. Or if you unwittingly cross their territorial boundries.

Humans will do this, too. When we are in the owls' habitat, we're intruders. Why shouldn't they have the right to defend themselves from the rapacious predator that is the human species?

What's your point? Of course they will protect themselves, same as you would.

rockyb26 wrote, "thanks for posting this huffpo. so glad to have a break from human foolishness for a few minutes" -- my sentiments exactly!! So many humans consider themselves superior to animals, but I'd say there's overwhelming evidence to the contrary. They're so present--and many of them so loving. Even the chickens are breaking up fights--maybe we should send those two over to Gaza/Israel to sort that mess out. Skidboot was awesome, and so was his owner--many of his words we're very enlightened and full of appreciation for life.

I've also decided that it would be fun to be a gibbon.

Because it is. Because the bird is hilarious. Because it bothers you. ESPECIALLY because it bothers you.

My cat was transfixed by the Skidboot story. He wouldn't take his eyes off the monitor for the whole video. My favorite, though was Christian the lion. Reminded me of when I came home after moving south; my childhood cat was on me like glue. Oddly enough, my cat now couldn't have cared less about either video with the great cats.

Wow. Skidboot was amazing. He brought so much love and joy into his owner's life. Dogs are the coolest! I also laughed at Gibbon and the baby tigers...boing, boing, whack.
