New York Post:

There will be no more con versations with Michael Eisner.

No, The Post isn't cutting him off - Eisner's just ending his CNBC show. But unlike the recent scaling back of "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsche," this was Eisner's decision, not CNBC's.

The former Disney CEO told The Post that he's giving up hosting "Conversations with Michael Eisner" to concentrate full-time on his investing activities.

A good host will generate interest in his guest through thoughtful interviewing. Eisner lacked the ability to do so.

I think in the end, Eisner will have the last laugh.

Eisner almost ruined Disney. How bad did Disney suck under his watch?

Eisner didn't almost ruin Disney. Under Eisner Disney grew to what it is today. OK so he was dumb in creating frinction between him and Steve Jobs but He did good things at Disney. His only problem was that he was too much of a micro manager.

I watched the show once, and never again. Slow, plodding pace. Some very interesting guests were wasted by Eisner's poor interview ability.

And who can afford Disney these days? It costs almost $100.00 for kids to get in the parks!!! With this economy who is going to pay for that?

I liked the idea of his show and he had some okay guests from time to time. The problem with his show was poor visibility. I think it must have changed times or maybe I stopped caring but I could never find the show on. Sure I could have looked up the time but I didn't care that much. Not like how I care about Charlie Rose.

The show should have come on every night and CNBC should have pushed it harder. It could have gained a following.

Finally, Michael Eisner had the common sense to fold up his television tent and move on.

Your tenure at Disney wouldn't have been as successful had Frank Wells not kept you and Jeffrey Katzenberg in line. Without Wells, you would have stewed in your hubris a long time ago.

Well, in the tradition of Noam Chomsky, I feel the need to point out that he didn't directly mention anything about Eisner being Jewish, although he alluded to it. Zionism is a political movement, and Israel is a nation.

Rasta_Man may or may not actually be anti-semitic in the literal sense, perhaps he's just angry at certain sub-groups who happen to be Jewish. Then again, perhaps your allegation is accurate. I can't tell from his comment.

Presuming antisemitism where it may exist tends to encompass those who are sincere critics of Israeli foreign policy. Sometimes, it's a Jew like Chomsky who has been called antisemitic. Sometimes it's a Zionist Jew like Uri Avnery who is attacked for criticizing Israeli foreign policy.

Jewish identity need not be bound to specific foreign policy actions of Israel's military or government, or else you're allowing a guy like Ehud Olmert to define what being a good Jew means for you, because he's steering Israeli foreign policy.

Maybe Rasta is tired of The United States sending billions of dollars to a country that promotes Apartheid?

Never like Eisner's show. He really didn't have the knack for interviewing. Great guests but sour host.

And there is no way Cramer is leaving CNBC. When his contract's up, NBC will def. resign him BIG TIME.
