Mideast Israel Palestinians

Times Online:

There were growing fears in Israel last night that Hamas missiles could threaten its top-secret nuclear facility at Dimona.

A nuclear plant in Israel - you're kidding me!
Conveninently situated though to be a threat from Hamas - of course.

OOPS! Did Israel admit that it had "Nuclear Plant"?

I suppose we will find out if Hamas rockets hit that "dome" won't we?

Why does this blog delete comments that criticize Israel, or question the relationship between the US and Israel?
05:17 PM on 01/02/2009
Because it's not supposed to be like this - we're no longer taking the medicine.

Nothing could be better that Hamas rocket hits on this facility. If I prayed, I'd pray for that.
08:58 AM on 01/02/2009
It would be amusing, but seriously, what is a rocket with a blast intensity of only 10 kg of TNT going to do to a nuclear power plant?
09:28 AM on 01/02/2009
If it lands in a fortunate place, it might possibly crack the containment dome. Once Hamas has the range, it could fire many rockets. It's reported that this is where Israel also stores its nuclear weapons, so hitting those storage facilities would also be a plus.

Uh-oh, that nuclear plant, illegally developed by the non-signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, which was used to create hundreds of nuclear weapons, which apparently according to Israel and the media is not enough to blow-up the entire middle east, which may be under attack one day should Iran develop that supposed one potential nuclear bomb even though Iran is a signatory to the non-nuclear proliferation treaty, which must not be protected very well if they are worrying about it and it is supposidly secret, now could be under attack by Hamas. Time to decimate all of the Gaza, Israel. P/S: IsraelintonPost, time to censor this because Israel, and our US leaders controlled by Israel, may not want to see it!

Thank you for mentioning the "plausible deniable' in US foreign policy: Dimona (Israel's nuclear plant) does not exist, nevermind illegally -- without membership in the NNPT -- nor have silos with stockpiled warheads. So there's no danger to this phantom to begin with, right?
On the other hand, Iran is the gOOD neighbor on the block (Middle East), allowing IAEA (International Atomic Energy Association) inspectors into their incipient nuclear facilities, as a member of this same international watchdog (NNPT).
In addition, why do we insist on talking about "rockets" coming from Gaza vs. "missles" from Israel -- another case of comparing apples and oranges? Your coment re the disparity in portentional -- and actual -- damage of the two weapons and delivery method begs reflection. Look to the 'body count' of Israeli to Palestinian for ground-truthing this premise.
America -- and Israel -- have become ultimate victims of their own "exceptionalism". Nobody will want to have anything to do with them (check out the US-generated international economic meltdown), as they blatantly don't play by the rules.
Why not begin boycotting, divesting, and sanctions against Israel via the Global BDS Movement against Israel? It worked against South Africa's apartheid.
