NEW YORK -- When Liz Claman made the jump from local television to business news a decade ago, she had never heard of Warren Buffett.

Last month, the Fox Business Network anchor aired an hour-long special with the legendary investor, who for the first time allowed cameras to record him teaching at a business school.

"I'm not a BusinessWeek reporter who knows how to perfectly distill a balance sheet," Claman says. "But I know a good business story when I see it."

Well, it's great to see that Liz Claman is back on TV, even if it's at Fox. She was the best female anchor on CNBC, and they were idiots to let her go. In fact, CNBC let a lot of knowledgeable people go in favor of moronic screamers like Dennis Kneale, Larry Kudlow, and Jim Cramer, the 3 Stooges of business news. The only decent person left on that channel is Rick Santelli.

Best of luck to Liz. Despite what people here may think, those of us who are forced to watch business news day after day know which ones are good and which ones stink. Liz is definitely one of the best ones. CNBC's loss.

Just another pretty face. That's all FOX has to offer. Short skirts and pretty faces and lots of trash.

A business reporter who doesn't know anything about business? Sounds about right for Fox "News".

Fox won a Florida Appellate Court decision that ruled news media can legally lie to the public - so why should anyone believe their "news"

News reporting is a joke.
You have these people with no substantive background in the areas they are reporting being sold to us as featured reporters with in depth knowledge. But, hey, if they are blond and look good, took elocution lessons while studying "communications" in some third rate college, then go for it. Don't let the fact that the world is in crisis in every possible sector you can think of be of any concern; instead of focusing on that and becoming informed, let's be entertained by these so-called reporters. Especially their reporter to reporter personal banter about nothing. After all, we are just sheep there for the media to sell advertisers' products to. The news is needed only to help fill the gaps between ads - so make it short and superficial and read by eye candy.

What a come-down for this woman. This is a busiiness channel that uses a BAR as its format for an after-hours rehash of the business news of the day. And one of the major players looks to be about 22 years old and has about as much useful input as you might expect. CNBC might not be perfect, but everyone there seems to be expected to have some expertise and common sense. Oh, sorry, forgot Erin . . .

CNBC has let go most of the smart people who worked there. Only the dipsh*ts are left.

Except for Rick Santelli, who really knows his stuff. But even he can't seem to hide his disgust at his ignorant colleagues these days.

no way will Fox Business be successful if anchors like these work there. she's only on there cause she saw the opportunity to be a 'star'. good luck with gaining the respect and trust of the finance world.

Fox Business Network a new start? LoL, okie dokie. Whatever you say. "I'm not a BusinessWeek reporter who knows how to perfectly distill a balance sheet," Claman says. "But I know a good business story when I see it." Well, I guess that is the problem with FOX, no expertise in what you are reporting just a lot of hot air.
