Bidens Turned Away From "Benjamin Button"

He's a heartbeat away from the presidency, but that apparently didn't help Joe Biden get a movie ticket Saturday night.

Employees at the Regal Brandywine Cinemas say the vice president-elect and his wife, Jill, tried to attend the 7:45 showing of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" at the theater on Concord Pike but left after they were told the movie was sold out.

Dont worry about it Joe! The movie sucked. You didnt miss anyting & you'll never get those 3 LONG hours back. You'd have a better time planning what your gonna wear to the Inauguration Ball.

I love the Bidens because of instances like this...every day people. No pretensions, no kicking up a fuss. I believe when we see stories like this, this is a sort of news; it helps us understand our new VP-elect and his bride a little bit more. Anyone can claim they're everyday "Joes" but I think it's nice the message is clearer when we see them in action...and no PR person feeding us blather. Thanks Joe and Jill. You're good people.

I remember a story that Cheney went to some VFW place and no one could leave until he basically said so. Some fellows were stuck there for hours.
It's gonna be nice to have humans in the Administration again.

Kind of sad...I was going to type LOL, but Cheney had an "effect" on people that may not have been healthy. Yes, the Obamas and Bidens seem human as you say.

P/s: Aren't we glad for a VP-elect who doesn't throw his status around? No big fuss, isn't even news if the cinema didn't tell the press.

I am sure when Obama is in the White House he can have a private showing of the movie in the private theater and he can invite the Bidens, so all is well.

I don't like the headline on this article. They went to a movie, it was sold out, they left.

It would be like if I had a craving and went to the grocery store to buy the thing I wanted to eat, but was told they didn't have it so I left. And I opened a newspaper to read "Starving woman denied food at major grocery chain. Was forced to seek help elsewhere". ;-)
