I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Transition officials confirm that President-elect Obama has asked Dennis Ross, Richard Haass, and Richard Holbrooke, to serve as his chief emissaries to world hot spots.

It's expected that Ross will get the Iran portfolio, that Holbrooke, the hard-headed architect of the Dayton Peace Accords, will take the tough (and tougher) Southwest Asia portfolio, which includes India, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and that Haass will deal with the Middle East.

Again the raging antisemitism rears it's ugly head on Huf fPo.

All these men have great accomplishments at brokering peace deals.

All of them are realists and not pushovers.

Too bad the tro//s claims that Obama would not use tough negotiators is not true.

Brokering peace deals...when may I ask, the shenanigans that was Dayton? Please enlighten me? Not liking AIPAC is not anti-sematic...

Especially when AIPAC being a lobbyist firm was engaged in spying activities...

Just drop this antisemitism blame, if you are committing mistake you will be held responsible...

Please like you voted for Obama. You came in the day after the election just to start whining.

Why do you make this a personal attack?

Whether you voted for him or not we still got duped. This isn't change and if you actually believe it is you are naive my friend.

Ross, Haass and Holbrooke are old-hands who, if you know your history, have despite how much we all like to blame Bush, led to a lot of these problems. So again, we need a viable third party....or we can just be sheep and pretend Obama is change...

What a surprise. Three more Clinton retreads.

Maybe Obama should spend a little more time thinking some original thoughts and less time at the beach walking on the water.

Holbrooke, needs to revisit the Balkans and the Dayton Accords, as things seem to be unraveling
a bit, and it would be a pity to see hostilities start up again.

Condi Rice reportedly appointed Paul Wolfowitz Chairman of the International Security Advisory Board in mid-2008, hopefully he will be gone immediately after 1/20/09. This appointment did not require Senate approval, cannot understand why this was not reported on, if true!!!

Americans are so sick of the attempted nation building, when will the elected officials ever learn. In the words of Freidman the only nation building should be @ home. Complete waste of $$$ and lives.

Neocons/Nation Builders must be eradicated!!!

Showing my frustration.

Lord, save us from Neo-Con lite: Clinton, Indyck, Ross, Haass, Holbrooke. What is Obama thinking? Either this is a major co-opt of the Israel-first establishment or, The O-man, following the example of other US Presidents since Truman, has totally sold out US foreign policy to foreign entanglements. And I was so hoping for an end to this Passionate Obsession that allows a foreign government to run rough shod over our elected officials.

Once C l i n t o n pushed her way in it was obvious these people were behind her. Also, remember who her biggest advocate is in the senate. The one dem senator against the Pres-elects C I A appointee. O b a m a is being pushed into a corner to play by their rules.

AIPAC is maintaining its control.

Absoluely agreed!

What the heck is Dennis Ross going to do with Iran? Do they think Iranians are that stupid? They know everyone of these AIPAC operators. There is no light at the end of the tunnel of Iran-America rapprochment, No hope. very disappointing.

Prohibition promotes the very drug it attempts to ban. On the other hand, are we prepared to throw an entire generation to the wolves to test that theory? Catch 22.
