Gov. Rod Blagojevich was out jogging Friday while the Illinois House was voting on impeaching him.

From the AP:

Gov. Rod Blagojevich was out jogging in Chicago while lawmakers in Springfield voted to impeach him. Upon returning from his run, he compared his situation to long-distance running.

Blagojevich refused to answer any specific questions about the 114-1 vote by which the House impeached him Friday.

But he said: "Let me simply say I feel like the old Alan Sillitoe short story 'The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner.' ... And that's what this is by the way, a long-distance run." He then promised to say more at an afternoon news conference.

Earlier Friday, the 52-year-old Democrat emerged from his home in a black jogging suit and berated the media for bothering his neighbors before heading out on a jog.

He now faces a Senate trial. If convicted, he'll be removed from office.

Hey Rod - In the words of Martha Reeves and the Mandellas:

'Got nowhere to run to, baby... nowhere to hide.'

GOV BLAGO is no more a crook than any other politician. The problem for him is that he is Governor of Illinois when Obama was running for President.

We can include the other governors from Illinois that have gone to jail, for a similar reason; Illinois and CHICAGO politics.

Illinois, especially Chicago, has been Democratic and Union stronghold for years. Every conservative group complains and mentions to not trust Illinois Election results and attacks them in the press.

Their, conservatives, focus on and hate for Illinois Politics, caused Blago, and other governors, to get higher scrutiny.

Every politician makes deals, many make a fortune doing it, all get kooshy jobs after, and everyone knows this.

Even Obama is seating his friends and allies. Each worked for him to better "the country" and themselves. Obama fought for millions for his state as a Senator. It is the way, deal, deal, deal.

Blago was just stupid to talk openly and the FBI was just being political for singling him out.

Some people would pull themselves together, show some dignity, and resign.
Lie all you want Blago, you KNOW & we KNOW, and trying to hold on by your fingernails for as long as possible won't change the outcome.
