I Like ItI Don’t Like It

John McCain's 24-year-old daughter Meghan has kept blogging at the popular site she started during her father's presidential campaign. But she tells Monday Morning Clacker that there's one subject she won't discuss.

If you could change one thing about the election what would it be?

"Nothing, it was the most liberating experience of my life and I am such a different person now than I was when I started the blog. It was truly an invaluable experience and I sit here today as an incredibly proud daughter and member of the Republican Party."

So, no comment on the selection of Governor Sarah Palin as Senator McCain's running mate?

"Sarah Palin is the only part of the campaign that I won't comment on publicly."

Read the whole interview.

Meghan is much smarter and professional than S Palin...
Palin bashes media for her inability...
I respect Meghan's well said decision...

Sarah Palin is just not smart and does not even have the ability to learn. She thought her gal down the street gimmick would get it for her & she was wrong.

Declining to comment about Sarah Palin is a very strong comment about Sarah Palin.

I wager that is born of two ideals - Meghan's desire to see a woman in a position of power, and that old measure you use when you are conflicted: "Oh, well....if you can't say something nice...".

I actually agree with Meghan McCain on this topic. Sarah Palin has gotten way more notice than she deserves, so the less mention of her, the better.

Yes, she may feel that Palin stole too much attention from her father and certainly didn't help him in the end.

saywhen40 - I am one of those liberals. I don't care if you are religious - you can be as religious as you want. America has to have rules but those rules should be secular rules; because not everyone is religious and those who are do not follow the same religion.
Obama has not even been sworn in yet and you are already dooming him to failure. After the last 8 years, he could not do any worse. It is always amazing to me that some of those who proclaim to be religious would deny living in the 'Land of the Free' for those who do not believe as they do. Where do you suggest they go? Many of them have ancestors who may have been here much longer than you or any of your family - why should they leave?
As for Palin, time will tell. She showed ambition, but not much else to me. Her constant ability to not answer a question asked of her either showed arrogance, indeference or a lack of intelligence. Personally, I have had enough of those qualities in the last 8 years to last me 5 lifetimes. You are entitled to you opinion about Palin - I can tell you think she is great. Others are entitled to theirs and even if they don't agree with you on Palin or Obama; you have no rights telling anyone to leave America.

If it will benefit her she will talk about Megan. Palin is pretty self serving. This is one drama queen I'd like to see exit the public stage.

i only hope that when SARAH PALIN runs and wins the presidency in 2012 she can overcome the fours years
of disaster from obama's term.it amazes me that people complain about SARAH'S experience when in
reality she has more experience than obama.but these people do not want to face the facts.he helped
organize a block party, ran for the senate, then ran for president.he proves one thing-you can fool most of the people all of the time.but all the liberals want an america with no rules,no religion and want us to be a
weak nation.my suggestion is if you do not like it here-then leave.

funny coincidence.....that's exactly how I feel about Obama......I can "only hope" that he can overcome the eight "years of disaster" that Bush has wreaked upon our country. I grew up in a small town of 4,000 (somewhat Wasilla sized, actually bigger, I think). It ain't that impressive of a resume, even throwing in a year and a half of governorship of one of the least populated states we have. Where, by the way, you get paid, socialism-style, just to live there! SO WHAT?

You right-wingers are such "my way or the highway" attitudes. You didn't get your way this time........so feel free to take the highway outta here!

Saywhen40,
After "fours years" Sarah Palin will not even be popular enough to be re-elected as gov of Alaska. She will drift off into obscurity, unless someone gives her a game show to host.

I have to disagree with your comment about his experience though, the "block party he organized" around the White House next week will be great! See you there, unless you leave the country before that! Remember that you can't take all of your guns and bibles on the plane!

Let me see, didn't L'il George say, "Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, uhhhh, well, you won't get fooled again."

You can't be serious! This is an adult debate arena you know. Perhaps you would be better accomodated by moving over to the Toys Are Us web site. By the way, PresElect Obama graduated in the top of his class in one of America's top universities. And Sarah reads what periodicals to keep informed? It took her 7 weeks to memorize a list suitable to answer that question. I realize she can see Russia from her bathroom and Obama can not - but that can't be the sole issue on which we select our next President - can it? Oh - I forgot that wink!

Wake up and catch a hold to yourself. You have a few pretty important events to watch on television next Tuesday. SP will not run for the presidency in 2012. If I am wrong, no problem. She will energize the democratic base to turn out in larger numbers than we did this year.
