***Updates on Adolf Hitler Campbell... Mystery surrounds why authorities took him and his sisters***

Adolf Hitler - the three year old, that is - is back in the news. According to New Jersey police, the state's Division of Youth and Family Services took Adolf and his two sisters, one-year-old Joyce Lynn Aryan Nation Campbell and 8-month-old Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, from their parents' home Tuesday night.

Little Hilter and his parents got their first fifteen minutes of fame after a New Jersey supermarket refused to put his name on a birthday cake. Little Hitler's incredulous parents talked to the press about the ordeal in December:

"I think people need to take their heads out of the cloud they've been in and start focusing on the future and not on the past," Heath Campbell said Tuesday in an interview conducted on the other side of the Delaware River from where the family lives in Hunterdon County, N.J.

"There's a new president and he says it's time for a change; well, then it's time for a change," he continued. "They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did."

The reason why authorities took the children is unclear. According to NBC news, little Hitler's parents are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

That child is well loved, you can tell by looking at him.

The parents were too cute in naming him Adolf Hitler and should change his name. They didn't do it to be abusive, but humorous.

It reminds me of the song Johnny Cash sung, "A boy named Sue.' about how his father named him Sue to teach him to be a fighter. He knew his name would get him in lots of fights.

The father decorated the house with swastikas, according to another article, and that is highly troubling; but neither the names or the swastikas are illegal. Freedom of speech is fantastic in 99.9% of applications and difficult in situations like this.

SisterAnn, you can't tell by one photo if a kid is abused ... and there's hardly anything funny or cute in naming your kid after Hitler, just the idea that you typed that! lol...good grief.

Anyway, the father says it's not like his son is going to grow up to do what hitler did, which tells me that perhaps the father thinks what hitler did wasn't anything to be proud of...so if that's the case the next logical question would be why would you name your kid after someone famous who you don't think did anything to be proud of.

Maybe, the father actually is proud of hitler. Whatever ... parents are suppose to give their kids a better life than they had ... so why saddle a kid with a name 99.9% of people think is horrible just to make a point?

that's funny, the father quotes Obama, what a weirdo.

Wow.... everyone take a chill pill. Huffpo hasn't fully updated yet, but the police have already issued a statement that said the children were not removed for anything to do with their names or with the birthday cake incident.

In other words: there's more to the story.

I can't believe that in our country you can have your child taken because of the name you've given the child. There must be another reason.

lol ask an honest lawyer or judge how fair our system is

and, uh, the last 8 years....?

The article states that it was unrelated to why the kids were removed. Even if it WAS for the name, in this circumstance I would have to agree that naming your child after Hitler is abusive.

They should put those kids on adoption and then take both parents to Nuremberg, lock them up and throw away the key

He looks like a cute, innocent kid. Gotta feel bad for him. Look at his idiot parents. I hope they didn't pass the stupid gene onto him.

Adolf Hitler (the real, dead, evil one) was an innocent baby at one time, also. Scary thought for those who worry about these kids' futures.

This is beginning to remind me of the Elian Gonzales situation. Adults on all sides using innocent kids as pawns to further their own political agendum.
06:27 PM on 01/17/2009
Why didn't the parents assume those odious names themselves instead of laying it on their kids? Because they are cowards.
07:19 PM on 01/17/2009
cuz it cost mone y to change you name!
03:18 PM on 01/17/2009
I understand the rights of parents to name their children what they will...i by no means have a normal names...but names also have meaning, that's why people think so hard about what to name their kids. so as much as these parents have the right to name their children these names, i think it's pretty despicable, and pretty mean to the children that they will have to go through school and life with a stigma attached to them that they had no say in.

The authorities can take children away on a simple accusation. Let's see... your kids name is Adolf Hitler, you live near New York City, you somehow get media exposure... I'm sure the calls rolled in.

that, my friends, should be what scares you

I'm not "anti- israel" as so many people accuse those of being who think Israel is acting way too aggressive toward its neighbors. Stop that BS.
I am anti- using Israel as US military base #1 in Middle East war. I am against Israel using their abuse to hind behind and become the abusers. I am against violence against your neighbors and squatting on there property, starving them, and killing their women and children like 200/12 ratio in a "war"- which is really just another Bush chickenhawk war.

Save it texaspornoqueen. You are squatting on native American land. You know, the people that your forefathers butchered before they stole the land. Why don't you give your property back to the rightful owners, and return to the European nation of your origin.
