Sarkozy Vows 'Zero Tolerance' For Gaza Hate Crimes

ORLEANS, France, Jan 14 (Reuters) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy pledged "zero tolerance" for anti-Semitic or anti-Muslim acts in France as a series of incidents apparently related to Israel's offensive in Gaza continued.

"Those who want to import violence between different communities into France will find the state on their tracks," Sarkozy said on Wednesday at a New Year's address to police in the town of Orleans in central France.

Id be more worried about the anti semitisim if it wernt for the rampant, violent and extreme anti arab and anti muslimisim that has killed over a million of these people since the "war on terror" started. The WOT is basically a war on islam, a war on women and children who happen to have a different religion to mainstream america.

It is this same virulent, nazi-like anti muslimisim at work which allows these Gaza attacks to continue, although not all palestinians are muslims.

Defacing a Jewish temple is bad alright. Not as bad as defacing a thousand civilians.

It is very sickening how little is actually happening. some very valid points here, the most depressing is the U.S. is backing the slaughter. Can you imagine the outcry if the Japanese went out and slaughtered 1000 whales and harpooned another 2 to 3000 thousand but they escaped with injuries. Can all you parents imagine having to bury your sons and daughters, their features beyond recognication, others maimed for life. Is it not understandable why these feelings of anger are rising against the Isreaies? And to think twelve billion of your tax dollars are going to arm these people to slaughter...

US has threatened to attack anyone who attacks Israel. Someone suggested that each Nation in the world contribute one or two planes and surround Israel and threaten to take out their ships blockading Gaza and maybe other things and make Israel stop the slaughter. After all, US cannot attack every nation in the world. Besides, Israel is over now except for the harm they can do. We have all been sickened by their ugly face. They have turned our stomachs. They may be winning the (how easy can it get?) battle, but they have now lost everything.

One may have an opinion. One may even be biased. That does NOT entitle one to deface buildings, attack persons or property, or start riots, let alone murder. To paint a whole group with one brush is an ism, and if I, being for Israel and Israelis, do that speaking of Islamists, I am guilty of applying an *ism*. Others apply such broad brushes to Israel and Israelis, no matter what, and I find that they are guilty of not thinking clearly, not applying facts, but rather an *ism*. Again, I am certainly biased and I do not hide it. That said, when Israel handed over Gaza, Mahmood Abbas said, when offered help with setting up specifics in Gaza, that they had *other plans*. When *Palestinians* elected Hamas, Hamas soon thereafter started a blody attack against the losing party, Fatah. "Palestinians" in Gaza were offered help, given greenhouses AND money, destroyed everything, refused help, and used the money to buy ammunition that they shot off, aimlessly, in the streets. *Palestinians* dance in the streets when jews are killed. They deface buildings, they kill each other. There is a blog on www.israelnn.com, by Tamar Jonah, which shows such a scene. Biased? Maybe. But if there is a similar scene of jews murdering each other, I have not seen it.

Thank you for pointing that out. For too long, the term "anti-semitic" has been co-opted to mean "anti-Israeli," or "anti-Jewish." One can disagree with the policies of the State of Israel and still have Jewish friends. One can speak up for the Palestinians and still believe in Israel's right to exist. One can have Muslim friends as well as Jewish friends without taking sides on the seemingly endless Middle-Eastern conflict.
