LOS ANGELES — Indiana Jones and "The Mummy" slayer are teaming up on the big screen _ to battle not ancient, otherworldly baddies, but a big medical dilemma.

Brendan Fraser will join Harrison Ford for a medical drama set to begin filming in April, CBS Films announced Wednesday. The untitled movie will be the first production for CBS Films, a feature film division established in 2007.

Fraser will play a father who recruits the help of a medical researcher portrayed by Ford. CBS Films said the film's screenplay is inspired by "The Cure," a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Geeta Anand about John F. Crowley, a former Bristol Myers Squibb executive who started his own biotech company to save his two children from a rare muscular disorder.

I love these guys, but the movie is a drippy, preachy feel-good movie and I am DISAPPOINTED!

Harrison Ford is starting to look like the Mummy.

The only stinker I've seen Fraser in was "Dudely Do Right". It was so bad I couldn't watch the whole thing. Even "George of the Jungle: wasn't that bad.

I like them both and would see the film. It's not funny to make fun of Ford's age. He knows his limitations and knows he's not the action hero any more. He's also a very good actor and shoul dhave years of more good parts to play.

Brendan Fraser? Of the Mummy, part XIV fame?

Harrison Ford is one of my favorite hero... perhaps he should be exposed to uprising stars from Asia, or already know Jackie Chen... because... what I see in Harrison Ford... his vision and personality will be most welcomed and loved in Asia... as well... Sign of Moon Children... haha

If you track Harrosin Ford's box office, the reality is quite frightening. Outside of Jack Ryan movies and Indiana Jones movies, his films struggle at the BO. It's this great allusion that he's successful. Now, pair him with another recent underachiever in Brendan Fraser and this screams flop.

I think it is great when an actor looks and acts their age, as Harrison Ford does, and really, really sad when they resort to plastic surgery and who knows what else to look younger. I think he looks great. Contrast this with a photo of Bruce Jenner or Axl Rose. I would pick Harrison's naturally aging mug any day.

Too bad it isn't an Indiana Jones type of movie. This sounds a little boring.

I would be willing to go see this movie because I respect both actors. Fraser was outstanding in a movie called "The Quiet American"

Haven't seen that one, but I thought Gods and Monsters was brilliant.

That movie was just full of stunning performances all around. I was amazed at Fraser's and dismayed that most of his roles are schlock. Fun movies, but schlock.

This should be a good one!

Yes, The Quiet American was excellent. And he held his own up against the great Michael Caine.

It is funny that this story came out today. I was just saying to someone that he needed to take better roles in his career and stay away from the throw-away bad action flicks he's been doing that do no box office.

A great career choice for him, as he is very talented. And he will do well opposite Harrison Ford.

Two of my favorite actors. Might actually go see this one even though not much of a medical drama fan.

Harrison Ford is one if my favorite actors. (I even often joke about gettin' my "Harrison Ford on" when I'm making passes at women) But, Brendan is sliding dangerously into "straight to DVD" actors column as of lately.
