KPMG To Offer 4-Day Work Week To British Employees To Stave Off Job Cuts

Posted: Updated:

LONDON — Financial services company KPMG said Friday it would offer its staff a four-day working week or sabbatical breaks, but said it could not rule out job cuts.

The company said it would give all its 11,000 British employees the chance to take a break from their jobs ranging from one to three months on 30 percent pay or a shorter working week.

The offer was aimed at avoiding layoffs at KMPG LLP, but the company refused to rule out cuts in the future.
