What a bunch of crap! You have to be AT the white house to work? No phones in Camp David, no internet at the ranch? Give me a break!

Let's put this into perspective:

8 years as President = 2,920 days in office.
Time spent at Crawford & Camp David = 977 days

That means he was on vacation for 33% or 1/3 of the time.

The ironic part is I wish he was on vacation more because that way there would have been less damage done to our Country.

Imagine anyone in ANY other job taking that much time off, or time away from the office. They'd be fired before the first year was out.

Bush really was something. History will not be kind to him.

I'd like to say more but it would not make it onto the Comments board for I would need to use language not permitted.

This means that Bush has spent about one third of his presidency away from the White House. Is it any wonder the country is in its current state? If other Federal employees had spent one third of their time away from their duties they would have been gone long ago!!

Ya gotta look at it his way - The country might have been in worse shape had he been around more - The government, as a whole, is no friend of the citizens. Here is Texas we have to hide our wallets when the Texas Legislator is in session. We are all glad it is not in session full time. Remember, government officials are working full time, 8 hours a day, to seperate you from you hard earned tax dollars - AND we pay for their theft. Only in America

A true Washington outsider. And when he was there he was absent-minded.

Could you imagine him going down to a D.C. deli, diner, chili shop, etc.?
