Winslet: I Confuse DiCaprio For My Real Husband

LONDON — British actress Kate Winslet says she spends so much time talking about Leonardo DiCaprio she's starting to confuse him with her real husband, Sam Mendes.

Winslet is in the U.K. promoting the movie "Revolutionary Road," which Mendes directed. The film reunites her with her "Titanic" co-star and longtime friend DiCaprio.

The duo's reunion more than a decade after the melodramatic blockbuster was hotly anticipated, and both have been peppered with questions over whether their on-screen chemistry is still as strong.

Winslet told Britain's GMTV Monday that DiCaprio "feels more like my husband than my real husband, I have to say. I'm talking about him so much!"

Kate is British and very witty, but she forgot sarcasm never comes across in print.

I think she is trying too hard to include Leo in all her interviews as she knows he is getting ignored for a very good performance and she is getting all the attention award-wise.

Yeah, I think we all figured out from her statements at the Globes and interviews surrounding the event that there is some confusion going on, or perhaps its just her true feelings showing through.

I thought her comments at the Golden Globes were quite strange. She went on and on about how "in love" she was with Leo and then mentioned her husband as an after thought. Look, we all know that Leo is very easy on the eyes and I have no doubt she enjoys working with him, but if I were her husband I'd be a tad upset about all this.

Who knows maybe she'll get a divorce and Leo will drop his flavor of the month and they will try to make a go of it... it is the oldest Hollywood story in the book.

I feel another Hollywood divorce brewing!... I worked on this movie and I don't get the impression that
Sam Mendez is the irrational jealous type, but by that same token I think Kate is going overboard with some of her statements about Leo DiCaprio... She's verging close to Hillary Swank forgetting to thank her husband TWICE and then thanking him grudgingly at the Oscars... My wife would kill me if she heard me get on stage and talk about how much I loved some other woman and how I'v 'loved you for so long'....

She really needs to get a grip!

I like Leo. I think he should have gotten the Oscar for 'Gilbert Grape'. Compared to other celebs, he's low key and he seems to be involved in some positive projects. Kate is a good actress but that whole "Oh my God"! performance at the Globes was way over the top. She should study someone like Hellen Mirren to learn a little something about class and humility.

I think Winslet was being ironic and wry. I think we've all figured it out by now, no?

I don't mistake anyone for being my husband 'cause I don't have one. Pretty simple.
