Amy Winehouse Almost Died Twice

Amy Winehouse came "close to death" twice during her worst moments, says her father.

Detailing his daughter's lowest points for the upcoming TV documentary Saving Amy, Mitch Winehouse says that while the media have been reveling in her downfall, "They didn't see her lying in bed for days in a dark room," he is quoted in Hello! magazine.

"She was close to death twice. We have been working a lot to get her to where she is right now," said the elder Winehouse, who now claims his daughter is drug-free.

Amy Winehouse is so extremely talented. Incredible artist, and she has a great personality. Look, I was an alcoholic, I am over it. There is only one answer, Amy. Find God, he's waiting. All good things come from him, and it will happen for you. If your guy is doing drugs, you're going to have to say good bye, but either way, you gotta give your life today. Set an example that it's about the love of God for you. He's going to get you through this. Nothing but that will work. It's not the drugs or alcohol, it's what going on inside you that you gotta work through.

good friend of mine, very successful guy living in d.c. died of a drug overdose. he was doing synthetic heroin,,,,,,,and looking at him, you'd never know. for yrs. he tried to go straight, but in the end, lost his life. folks if you've never been there, don't make fun.
