The Jonas Brothers Surprise Sasha And Malia Obama At White House

On their first night in the White House, Malia and Sasha Obama quickly learned the perks of being first daughters.

While their parents were making their rounds at the inaugural balls, the girls entertained new pals from the Sidwell Friends school - and had a surprise visit from the Jonas Brothers, according to ABC News.

Before the pop star pop-in, the group watched Bolt and High School Musical 3, then participated in a White House scavenger hunt.

Well the cultural divide is certainly narrowing! Here in Baltimore all of my teen A.A. cousins consider the Jonas Brothers hot stuff! I was curious, so I watched them on Good Morning Am. and uh... Huh? But then again, we all thought the Osmonds were pretty cool!

Kids in DC love the Obamas!!! Over the past week, I asked hundreds of people in DC, including lots of kids, to choose a word to represent how they feel about the inauguration of Barack Obama. I then took their portrait with the word. The words included "Proud," "Hopeful," "Skeptical," and "Angry." No one chose angry! But there were definitely some "Skeptical" people out there!! And "Curious" too.

Little kids mostly chose "Love" and "Obama," I think because they like the way "Obama" sounds. I ran into some kids who had been to the Kids Inaugural and were ecstatic. 8 to 9 yr olds tended to choose "Excited."

I think it's great that these LITTLE GIRLS get to enjoy music that LITTLE GIRLS like w/o being subjected to all the ADULT nonsense that some here and other places want to subject them to.

Sasha and Malia have no agenda, they are just two little girls who have mini crushes on little teenage boys who sing and dance, just like many a little girl before them.

They don't bit more know what an "abstinence -anything" is--as it should be. Furthermore, the Jonas Bros. were not there to date them, but to particiapate in a scavenger hunt. How kids acting like kids would work it's way into anyone's political leanings or agenda is beyond me.

Can we (ADULTS) please stop acting like these little girls (who do not belong to us, by the way) have to live up to OUR STANDARDS and participate in things WE only approve of? WTH??

As far as music, I was fortunate to have older sisters, so when I was 8 or so, I was frequently entertained by the Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival, instead of whatever boy bands were playing at that time (did they have boy bands then?). Then in high school my sister played Joni Mitchell every morning before school. I like Joni, but not every day! I felt like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day....

Can you imagine the story the Jonas Brothers will have to tell their friends? Sneaking into the White House, playing for the First Daughters....sounds like a plot from a Disney movie now that I think of it.
